Caria: Caleb's so-called compliment

In this one Caleb and Aria have a small relationship. This is between the Five Years Forward so Ezra and Hanna are not in the story. I know that many of you love Haleb and so do I but it's also nice to have another ship included. More Haleb stories to come so don't worry and I hope you enjoy this story!

Aria woke up to the wretched sound of the alarm clock. She sat up, rubbed her eyes and observed her surroundings. She was in... Caleb's hotel room?

Aria and Caleb have been dating for several weeks now. Aria left Ezra with Nicole and Caleb left Hanna with her fashion label. They would both be lying if they said that they didn't miss their first loves but they both agreed that it was time to start their future instead of dwelling in the past.

They weren't ashamed of their relationship- and they never will be. But it was still quite awkward at silent moments when they didn't know what to say to each other. Did they bring up Ezra or Hanna? Or the what the future was going to involve for them? Neither of them knew; but it was something they needed to decide themselves.

Anyway, Aria looked to her left and found a sleeping Caleb. He was so beautiful when he was sleeping, Aria thought to herself. She loved waking up to the sight of him lying beside her.

He rolled over so he was now facing her and Aria watched his mouth curl into a smile.

"Hey!" She laughed as she thwacked him on the head.

"Oh hey!" He replied lazily.

"You were pretending to sleep!" Aria's voice contained exasperation.

"Your face is beautiful when your sleeping. All those dreams running around inside your small head..." he let out a sigh, "it's a beautiful sight- you're a beautiful sight!" He leaned over and kissed her tenderly on the lips.

She licked them once he pulled away and said, "You're lucky I'm in a good mood this morning . If I wasn't, I would've kicked you for calling my head small!"

"But it's true Aria! It's true!" He whispered.

"Hmm..." She softened her expression, smiling at him. She leaned over a kissed him on the lips. He placed his hands on her cheeks, pulling her closer. There was no hesitation with Caleb. She let her emotions and feelings out and watched as Caleb hung onto her every word. It had been a long time since she had felt this way about anyone.

Caleb pulled away but only a few centimetres and looked Aria in the eye. "That was a compliment by the way."

"What was?"

"You might have a small head... but you have big dreams, beautiful."

"You're sweet," Aria smiled at him and his so called compliment. Maybe it was a compliment! She took it as one, anyway.

"You're beautiful."

"So you've repeatedly told me!"

"Do you believe me?"

"Yes... maybe... I don't know Caleb!"

"Aria..." his soothing voice said.

"I believe you Caleb... I believe you..." and she really meant it...
