I turned into the very familiar gravel drive-way that leads towards Louis’ house. I held my breath as I reversed into my parking spot which was still left empty for me. I cut the engine and exhaled the breath and I rested my hand on the door handle. Was I really about to do this? Was I really about to go face all the boys and Niall?
“Niall…” I let out another sigh and slowly opened the door. I flung my legs out of the car and let my weight drop onto the balls of my feet. I shut my door slowly, not wanting to make any noise. I put all my energy into making my feet move one after the other, carrying me up the stairs and to the front door. I reached out and grabbed the door knob. It was unlocked. I slightly smiled before opening the door and walking in. I suddenly felt at home, not matter what’s happened, I felt like I was finally at home. I tip-toed towards the lounge were I heard mumbling. I stopped in the door-way to see all the boys crowding around something. One of them shifted their weight onto the lounge, making a clear view to see what they were crowding around; it was Niall. He was hunched over on the edge of the lounge. His mouth was slightly hanging open and his eyes were looking out into space. I tried to speak to let the boys know I was standing there but words wouldn’t form. I looked back towards the front door which was still slightly open. I pushed it shut, making the door slam and all the boys heads flicked up towards me except for Niall. They all looked about as shocked at Niall now. Before I knew it I had 4 boys surrounding me bombarding me with questions.
“I just really need to talk to Niall.” I mumbled quietly but he must have heard me because his head suddenly snapped up and flicked towards my direction. Our eyes met and I felt tears coming on right away. I slowly turned around and headed upstairs to mine and Niall’s room.
When I reached the door, I swung it open expecting to step into a familiar room with a familiar smell and familiar clothes and things everywhere; but it was nowhere near what I was expecting. I walked into the room slowly and looked around. I saw a bunch of clothes on the ground and I walked over to them. I lifted them to my face expected them to smell like Niall, but they didn’t. They smelt like Harry. When I dropped the clothes I noticed his brown boots in the corner of the room.
“Harry and I swapped rooms.” I heard that Irish voice that I loved come from behind me. I turned around to see him standing in the door-way. He had a small smile on his face but his eyes looked fragile and scared.
“Why?” I asked curiously as to why he moved rooms with Harry.
“When you left… I didn’t want to stay in our room, knowing you weren’t coming back.” His eyes dropped onto the floor and his voice broke towards the end of the sentence.
“I’m here now aren’t I?” I said quietly taking a step towards him before hesitating and stepping back into my original placing. There was a moment of silence that felt like a life time.
“Is it true Jamie?” Niall said quietly, his voice cracking.
“Oh now you want to be truthful to one another?” I snapped back and his face changed into a pained expression.
“Don’t be like that…” He begins to say when I argued back at him.
“I will be how ever I want to be Niall” I said coldly keeping my voice mono-tone. I kept my daggered gaze on him and watched him wince in pain again. My heart broke a little seeing him in so much pain, it reminded me of my birthday two weeks ago when I walked out of his life. “Of course it’s true Niall…” I said finally and I met his gaze again. He looked like he was about to be sick. I saw him slightly fall against the door frame and I rushed towards his side. I helped him onto the bed and he resumed his position like on the couch about 5 minutes ago. I sighed and went to get him a glass of water.
