Chapter 13

*Izzy's P.O.V* 

I owe it all to Klaus, ever since I've been spending the past couple of days with him, he's really starting to grow on me, As a friend at least. He's taught me new things about my abilities and what they are. I don't have a name for what I am yet, All i know is that I can see someones past with a single touch, But only if they let me in, which meant If they only trusted me enough for me to see those things. I realized now that Klaus trusted me enough to let him see that part of him, The part of him that made him a monster. I have no idea why I liked being around Klaus so much but it was a nice kind of feeling. 

Right now Klaus and I are sitting at the dinner table eating some chicken and mashed potatoes with some green beans.  I honestly have no idea why I'm still in his house or why he's let me stay for so long. 

Dinner goes on with silence as we eat our food. I clear my throat and break the silence.

"Why have you let me stay? Why not kick me out?" I asked. I needed to know.

Klaus shrugged. 

"I guess you're not that bad of company, I guess I needed someone in here to keep me sane and not lonely. I could use a friend around here." His soft British accent spoke.

Friend. Klaus thought of me as a friend. Something about his words made my stomach flutter with butterflies and caused my cheeks to blush slightly. I then nod in agreement. 

"I guess I could use a friend to. I'm glad I can be of service to you. Mr, Mikaelson" I joke as I raise my glass with Coke up in the air and take a sip. He then catches on my joke as he goes along with it. 

"You too Ms, Gilbert" He says raising his glass in the air as well, We clink glasses as we both laugh. We then finish dinner shortly after as I clear off the table, Washing the dishes in the process. Klaus leaned against the counter with his arms crossed, Watching me wash the dishes. 

"I called Elena earlier today, I'm going home tomorrow." I say while turning off the tap water and drying my hands. His expression slightly changes as I pretend not to notice. He then uncrosses his arms and nods. Not saying anything. 

"I can take you to Mystic Falls and to your house tomorrow if you'd like" He suggested. I shook my head as I looked at him. 

"If you do, The questions would be spiraling on why. It would cause to much drama and questions I don't really want to answer." I admitted, Although I did want him to take me, I just couldn't handle Elena being okay with being friends with Klaus, the one who technically killed her. 

"Plus, you're not supposed to know Elena's alive. That's what they want you to think." 
He nods understandably.
"I'll at least take you to your hotel room." I nod as I walk out of the kitchen, running a hand through my long wavy chocolate brown hair.  

"Klaus?" I say looking over my shoulder at him. 

He nods "Yes?" he replies. I sigh and turn to face him as he's standing in front of me now. 

"You weren't using me for something this whole time I've been here right?" I ask slowly. I wanted to know the answer to it. Even if it was bad. 

He then let out a huff of breath. 

"At first I was going to use your blood to make me a hybrid, But after seeing how broken you were and how drunk you were, I changed my mind." He said honestly. I looked up at him and tilted my head slightly to the side. 

"What changed?" I asked looking into his crystal-like blue eyes, my head still tilted. He then looked down into my brown eyes, causing my heart to flutter. He then leaned closer so he was close to my ear. 

"Me." He whispered in my ear as he straightened up, our gaze locking again. I then look at him puzzled. He catches my look as he sighs, taking a step back from me. He then turned his back so he wasn't facing me. 

"I've never been in love before Isabelle, In my 1000 years of life. That's before I met you, These last couple of days I was trying to figure out if what I actually felt was true. And it was. I'm in love with you Isabelle." He admitted as his back still faced me, I just stood there, frozen in my spot, trying to process the words he just confessed to me. I then didn't realize my feet were moving toward Klaus' back as I turned him around so he could face me. I looked him in the eye as I leaned in slightly hesitating, He then pressed his lips against mine. His lips were soft and gentle. I placed my arms around his neck and pulled myself closer to him, Letting no available space between us. I smiled against his lips as he did the same, I then pulled away and fluttered my eyes open to meet his eyes. I then grin at him. 

I know what I was feeling now. He then captured my lips in his once more in his as he moved us on the couch, He laid me down and crawled on top, We then made out as he removed his shirt, I then lifted my hand up and traced my fingertips up and down his abs, pressing my body against his. So many emotions are rushing through me at this moment. I then removed my shirt also, pressing my partly bared chest against his as we shared a passionate kiss.

An hour past and Klaus and I's clothes were scattered around the floor. We laid on the couch, covered in a blanket as I cuddled into him, my head on his chest, his arms wrapped my petite form body. His hands running through my hair. Everything was perfect. I sighed happily as I smiled to myself, Enjoying the moment as it lasted. I glanced at the clock. 10pm, I frowned and sat up. "I have to go to my hotel and start packing my things." I sigh as I stand up from the couch. Gathering my clothes that are scattered along the floor, I quickly get dressed as I look over at Klaus, who's getting dressed himself. He then starts putting his shirt back on as I smirk to myself. 

"No don't put that on, you look so much better with it off" I smirk and wink at him as I hear him chuckle, I then walk over to him and smile. "Thank you, for making these past couple of days enjoyable" I admit as I walk over to the front door, with Klaus close behind, I grab my jacket and purse fro, the table as I reach for my phone. 

"My number's in there, in case you ever need anything." Klaus says putting his hands in his front pockets. I smile him a 'thank you' as I open the front door. 

"I'll be sure to use it sometime" I tease as I walk down the front steps, I walk backwards and wave bye to Klaus, Spinning on my heel and walking forwards to the hotel. Klaus was going to walk me there but I refused and said I could handle walking a few blocks on my own. I really didn't want to go but I had to. Elena needed me back home. I honestly have no idea on why I left home in the first place. I push all my thoughts away as I begin walking towards the hotel. Once I arrive I go to my room number. Once inside I start packing my things, Once I'm finished I check out of the hotel and call a cab. I then told/compelled them to drive me to Mystic Falls with no pay. I then sit back in my seat, looking out the window as I watch the New Orleans fade away slowly. I feel my eyelids become heavy as I close my eyes, letting sleep take over me.
