Chapter 16

**Izzy's P.O.V**

I wake up with a headache, greatt... it feels like I have a hangover but I didn't drink anything last night, at least I don't think I did. I roll over on my side to reach for my phone, checking the time as I widened my eyes. It's 3pm. I have no idea how I slept for so long but I did, I roll out of bed and get dressed, tiptoeing downstairs quietly so Elena wouldn't hear me, I hear her talking to someone in the kitchen so I walk over slowly, peeking into the room from across the hall so she wouldn't see me. I was spying on her, not a bad thing, just to see who's shes talking too, since it wasn't Stefan's voice. 

I listen carefully to Elena's conversation, trying to find out who she's talking too since the guys back is facing me. I then walk a little closer, trying to be as quiet as possible as I notice who it was, quickly hiding behind the wall so they wouldn't see me. It was Klaus. The person that I did not want my sister talking too. Maybe he thought it was me? No. That's stupid. Probably not. I then try to tiptoe out of there, again trying to be as quiet as possible. But not succeeding as I accidentally bump into something, causing it to make a loud noise, Elena looking down the hallway towards me. 

"Izzy? Is that you?" She asks as I turn myself around, sighing to myself as I now have to face her.

"Y-yeah, It's me." I say and walk into the kitchen, smiling at her innocently.

 "How long were you standing there?" She asked, hands folded across her chest.

"I wasn't standing there, I just got downstairs for something to eat and bumped into something, I guess I'm still half asleep," I say as convincingly as possible. Elena nods her head gently as I walk over to the fridge. 

"So how was sleeping half the day?" She asked with a laugh, pretending that Klaus wasn't in the room. 

"It felt great actually, I needed it." I say as I look for something in the fridge, soon taking out an apple, the closest thing that I could find. I turn over and Elena's and Klaus' eyes are directed at me as I bite into my apple. "What did I do wrong this time?" I ask with a raised eyebrow. 

Elena shrugs her shoulders. "Nothing, I'll leave you two alone. I have to meet Stefan at his house." She says as she gives me a look, wiggling her eyebrows as she leaves the kitchen, putting on her shoes and walking out the door. Now it just leaves Klaus and me alone together. Great. I haven't seen him in months since I left New Orleans. There is an awkward silence, other than me biting and chewing on my apple, It's deafening. I clear my throat as I hop on the counter. Klaus comes right up to me and captures his lips on mine, causing me to wrap his arms around his neck, kissing him back, I missed his lips. The kiss lasted a little while as he soon pulls away from me but only a tiny bit so I could still feel his hot breath against my face. 

"I missed you, love." He finally says and opens his eyes. I open mine and grin softly at him. 

"And I missed you too, what are you doing here? In mystic falls? I mean, I'm not complaining but there has to be a reason why you traveled all this way and don't say it was because of me." I say and look into his eyes, I had this privilege to get him to confess anything I wanted or tell me anything just by looking into his eyes, just like as I was compelling him, but I obviously wasn't. 

"It's just a trip love, My family decided that they wanted to visit Mystic falls again." He replied. 

I raise my eyebrow at him as if I can tell he's lying but I let it slide, just this once as I nod my head.

 "Oh okay cool." I say and smiled at him, Klaus returning the smile. 

"How long are you staying? Before you go back to New Orleans?" I ask him, tilting my head to the side. 

He shrugged his shoulders. "I have no idea. Whenever my family gets tired of it. My mother came back." He said. 

I nod my head again. "Well, I hope I get to spend time with you while you're here." I say and kiss his nose gently with a smile. 

He smiles at me. "Me too love, me too."
