The beginning

     Everything stopped. The sounds of children screaming was muffled. The teachers yelling to the kids came to a halt. The only thing I could hear was my heart beating, my footsteps thumping against the ground. What felt like raindrops came down my face, but I knew it was just sweat. Icky, sticky sweat that stuck to my face. I never thought this would happen. Especially today.
