'Yes. Finally. Today's the first day of school. Deep breaths Yoomie. Deep breaths.' I told myself as I walk to my classroom.

Today's the first day of school. I've been preparing the whole summer for this. I know I'm ready for this. Ready to get straight A's! Yay!

As I enter my classroom, some people are already there. I noticed an unfamiliar boy. He was seating by the window which was the seat I like. But now it's taken so I'm taking the seat behind the boy. Fortunately, there's also a window but I prefer the seat infront of me.

I was about to ask the boy's name when I heard noises from the hallway. A panting Leila stood by the door and a smile slowly appeared on her lips when her eyes landed on me. "Leila." I said,a grin visible from my face. "Yoomie! It's so nice to see you again!"she squeked. She then gave me a bone crushing hug. Leila is my bestfriend ,or at least a friend. She took a seat next to me and started 'catching up'. The new student was introduced to us and I found out that his name is Coby something.

"Hi. I'm quite lost. I'm trying to look for the library. Can you tell me where it is?" Class is over and  these are the first things that the new boy, Colby, said to me. " Uh. Sure. I'm also heading there anyway. You can just follow me."  He nods and we started walking towards the direction of the library.

"So.. you're in my class, right?" He eyed me as we walk. I nodded.

"Raymond Yoomie, right?" I nodded again.

"Don't like talking that much, right?" I looked at him, my eyebrow arching slightly. I chose to ignore him then proceeded to finally entering the library. He didn't try to say anything else after that.

"So, here we are. Nice meeting you, Colby. Bye" I said.

"Thanks. You too." he nodded and I turned my head then walked to the novel section. Well that was awkward. I could totally feel the awkwardness radiating out of his body.

On Thursday morning, my stomach really screams for food. I went to school very early and did not bother to eat breakfast, like I eat heavy ones everyday anyway. Today, my roaring stomach is probably an effect of not eating enough last night. I forgot to cook my meal because of the homeworks I was doing and the novel I was reading so I ended up eating oreo. I enjoyed it but unfortunately, it is not enough for dinner.

"Here." I was seeing an image of a Black Forest cake when a hand holding a paper bag appeared in front of my eyes. I looked up and saw Coby standing with his arm stretching in front of my face. I looked at the paper bag then back at him. I gave a puzzled look that might appeared horrible because of the sufferings caused by my angry stomach. "Huh?"

"It's tuna sandwich. You can eat it." He put the paper bag down and sat down on his chair. He turned around so he could look at me. "You're hungry, aren't you? You look pale. C'mon eat it. You might end up at the clinic later if you won't eat."

"I'm fine." I said firmly. *grooowll* My stomach doesn't want to cooperate oviously. He arched his eyebrow. "Yeah.Sure." Then an irritating smirk showed itself.

"Ok,fine!" I opened the bag and started munching on the mouth watering tasty tuna sandwich. " Sheyngks" I said while chewing. He chuckled. I finished my sandwich, or rather his sandwich, before the bell rang and satisfaction overcomed me.

Later that day, Leila and I went to the nearest store that sells school supplies to buy the things we need for the report next week. It started raining once we tend to go home. Luckily, she brought her car and I managed to get a ride from her.

Leila grabs her cellphone then read a message. "So..  Can you come with us on Saturday?  The girls and I plans to go to Jenna's private resort." She placed her phone on her bag then started driving.

"Uhm..Sorry but I'll come over at aunt Kathy's this week end. I can't join you girls." I gave her a sad smile. She rolled her eyes then said, "Right. Like you'll even come if you're not staying at your aunt's. Pshh what was I thinking?"

"Hey, you know I'm not into those kind of stuff."

"Yeah yeah. Whatever."  We reached my house and the rain is still pouring. I bid goodbye and thanked her for the ride.

My first week came by so fast and my academic status was also very great. So far so good.
