(Laci creeps up to her parent's door and overhears another one of their fights.)
Alexia: I don't care what it says I care what you say!
Sam: Well I say I don't care!
Alexia: How do you not care it's your own daughter!
Sam: Listen to me! It's just-
Alexia: No you listen to me! I'm tired of you coming home and ranting about how much you hate her. I don't care anymore! And you seem to not care about your one and only child anymore. She loves you but you don't give a damn about her!
Sam: Alexia just hear me out-
Alexia: Out? Hear you out?! The only out you are getting is out of this house!
Sam: what?
Alexia: that's right! You said you didn't want to be here so get out!
(Sam opens the door and slams it shut pushing Laci down in the process. Laci stares at the ground. Alexia puts a hand on her shoulder. Laci looks at her and runs to her room and slams the door)
