The seven members of the newly official group, BTS, gathered in the meeting room once more, but this time the manager had arrived early.

"Thanks to the goodness Bang PD nim is here before us", Yoongi said relieved. "I would have left, gone to my house, and fell back asleep if I had to wait an hour again."

"No need to be hasty, Min Yoongi," said the manager, speaking faster in order to keep the boys from leaving again. "Today we are going to pick stage names for you all. Pick out of this hat." He pulled out a hat with the word HAT on it. He then whispered "It's a snapback, so it even fits your hip-hop concept."

"But, that wouldn't be authentic, we should pick our own names, not randomly from a hat," complained Namjoon.

"Does anyone object?" When no one raised their hand, Bang PD nim continued "Yeah, I didn't like this idea anyway. UHHUHUHUHU, LET'S GET ON WITH THE FUN PART!"

He suddenly jumped into a rolling chair with a burst of energy that came out of nowhere. Then he rolled the chair close to the table like a little kid, and propped his hands up under his chin in anticipation. "Commence," he said shortly after, making a gesture that showed the members to share their ideas to the others.

"I'll start" said Taehyung. "Well, I like the number six in English, so that can be my stage name." Everyone started giving feedback on what they thought of the idea.

"I don't think your name should be a number."

"If your name is a number, it should be seven: seven members in the group."

"I don't like it, next."

"Well, I watched Superman a lot, and the villian Lex Luther is my favorite character, so Lex," Taehyung suggested.

"That doesn't suit you."

"It's getting better, at least it's not a number."

"Pick something that feels like yourself."

"Or, hmm, " he said as he paused. "What about... V?"

"What does that mean?" the maknae Jungkook asked, not having a full grasp on English.

"V for victory!" Taehyung yelled. Taehyung yelled a little too loud, sending Bang PD nim, startled, back in his chair.

The manager quickly recovered from his mini freak out and, with a smile on his face, he energetically said "I like it! So lively, so... YOU! I'm voting for it, what do you think, Taehyung?"

"Yes, very very...me." Taehyung wiggled in his seat, looked down at his hands, and made two v shapes with his fingers. Smiling, he raised his hands to his head, acting like a little bunny.

"Okay, Taehyung is V now. Everybody say hello to V." The words came from the manager, who was still looking at everyone eagerly, his hands under his chin.

"Hello, V~," the other six boys said, almost singing.

"Do we have to say this everytime someone picks their stage name?" Seokjin asked.

"No, no, no" replied the manager. "It'll get repetitive. Let's just not do that from now on."

Bang PDnim again wiggled in his chair and shifted back to his listening position. He made another sweeping hand motion and the trainees turned to each other to pick their stage names.

Namjoon spoke up next. "So, since I'm practically the king of rap--"

"Rap King!"

Namjoon looked across the table at Jimin and Jimin shrank in his seat. "Guess that's not it, then. Haha." He chuckled and Namjoon continued.

"Rap Monster. I'll be Rap Monster, 'cuz I'll be rappin' non-stop. Ooh, those would be good lyrics. I gotta write them down later."

"That suits you, Namjoon. I mean *cough cough* Rap Monster." Bang PDnim then spoke to himself and whispered "Goodness, I need to get used to this."

"I'll go," Yoongi said, eager to have a second name. "Okay, I like basketball, and I'm the shooting guard for my team. How about: Suga?" (Short for shooting guard "SU tting GA rd" "슈팅 가드")

"Smile," the manager suddenly commanded Yoongi. He then looked at Yoongi's face, squinted as if decoding a piece of art, and snapped his fingers. "Yep, it works." The room turned silent because the trainees expected the manager to explain further. Noticing this, the manager said,

"Suga, because his smile is as sweet as sugar."

"Ahhhhhh~" the boys let out a sound of understanding, finally realizing what the manager meant.

"My turn~" said Hoseok, the only one who was excited when he first walked into the meeting room. "Hmmm, what should I pick?" He sat, puzzled. "Okay, nevermind, someone else go while I think of something." He put his hand under his chin and looked at the ground, thinking.

"Hey Jimin," said the manager. "Didn't you say you wanted to be named Baby G?"

"Hahaha," the boy laughed nervously. "I'm not sure."

Then, a flurry of noises were directed at Jimin, all of the members talking at once, even Hoseok, who broke his train of thought just to join in.

"No, don't pick that name."

"I'm sounds so....blegh."

"Change it now, please, I don't think I could talk to you seriously if your name was Baby G."

"I kind of like it..."

"Fine, I'll change it!" Jimin yelled. Everyone was quiet then, and Jimin muttered. "I'll just keep my real name, Jimin."

"Done!" The manager said, eager to end the meeting. "Jungkook, you're next."

"I know it might sound corny, but I could be 《Seagull》. You know, the baseball team of Busan, my hometown?"

Everyone started talking at the same time again.

"You want to be a bird?"

"That doesn't fit you at all Jungkook."

"It's so cuteeeee~ *-*"

"Okay, okay, I'll change it. I'll keep my real name too: Jungkook."

"Great!" Bang PDnim clapped his hands and jolted out of his seat.

"Wait~!" yelled Hoseok. "I didn't pick mine yet!"

"Oh," the manager said, and slowly sunk back into his seat. "Go on, then." A smile appeared on Hoseok's face as he said, excited,

"J-HOPE! I will be J-Hope! Because I'm so hopeful that this group will make it big. I'm your hope, your angel~." He said, wiggling his eyebrows.

"And I'll just be Jin. People with one character names are manly~" He too wiggled his eyebrows.

The manager smiled and got up from his chair one more time.

"Great! This meeting is over. Class dismissed, go home, we will meet again on Monday to discuss your vocal, dance, and stage presence classes. Goodbye, boys." He waved his hand and left the room, leaving the seven trainees together in the meeting room.

"We didn't even pick a name for the fandom," said the newly named Rap Monster.

"Let's go out for bulgogi, I'm paying!" said Jin, ignoring the fact Rap Monster pointed out.

Rap Monster shrugged and yelled,

"I'M IN!"

The other members yelled in agreement and they all went to the restaurant sitting two blocks from the company's building.
