Here's chapter 2, enjoy!
Once Chloe reached her mansion, her legs shook violently of fear.
'What is my father going to do with me?'
'I'm screwed'
But to her surprise, as she entered the mansion, her dad was nowhere to be found.
Her heart beating quicker at the thought of her father's disappearance.
She quickly snapped back into reality, as she took off her cream colored heels, feeling more comfortable.
It was quiet.
TOO QUITE.
She then heads upstairs to her bedroom and threw her heels to the side.
She felt dirty. She needed to take a bath.
She takes off her glasses, and takes out her ponytail letting her blonde hair touch her back.
Proceeding to head to the bathroom, she wipes her face and black is smeared all over her hand.
When she entered the bathroom, she looked in the mirror and gasped in horror.
Makeup was smeared everywhere on her face. She took a damp towel and wiped her face clean.
'I really need this.'
When she was sitting in the bath full of bubbles and water, all she could think about is what happened earlier today and at school.
'Am i annoying?' She thought to herself.
She wondered about ways to stop being so stubborn. To not be a bother.
Seeing that her hands were starting to get wrinkled, she got out the tub and wrapped a golden towel around her body.
'Hopefully today will end quickly'
Unfortunately, it was 4:00pm, still sunny out. Her father can burst through those doors at any minute.
She simply put on a white t-shirt, yellow jean shorts and yellow sandals. She decided to leave her hair down. As well as a white sun hat. She put on her makeup as she took her purse and head outside to go to the park.
As she was walking, a beautiful smell of baked scones filled her nose. She was hungry, so she entered the pink building.
She was in awe at how many desserts were in an array. It was truly stunning.
The place was upbeat, the colors were popping. When you enter this place it immediately lightens up your mood.
She spotted some croissants in display that reminded her of Adrien.
'Adrien likes croissants..' She smiled then it faded instantly.
"Excuse me miss?" A woman called.
Chloe spun around to meet a woman at the counter.
"Hi, c-can I just get a chocolate chip cookie please?" Chloe asked.
"Sure thing hold on." She said going into the back.
"Thank you." Chloe said.
She always got this tingling feeling whenever she said those two words. Just seeing smiles on people's faces just...
She looked down on the floor in shame.
"Hey there! Your cookie is ready! That will be $1.00 please." A familiar voice said.
Chloe's eyes widen as she quickly looked up to see her classmate Marinette.
Marinette nearly drops the the cookie as her jaw dropped.
"....."
"....."
Seconds seemed like hours for both Chloe and Marinette as they stared intensely into each other's eyes.
It was awkward, the atmosphere felt like a hot desert for Chloe.
Marinette cleared her throat.
"Well, erm- h-heres your cookie." Marinette said holding the bag to her.
Hearing her voice made Chloe spin around and cover her face with her sun hat.
"I-i shouldn't be here.." Chloe said.
"N-no! It's fine. Listen, I need to apologize to you for what happened earlier.. I didn't-"
"It's not your fault. They're telling the truth." Chloe fake laughed." Who would want to be my friend" She said lowering her head down.
"I-i actually would like to spend some time with you, tomorrow afternoon. Sounds good?" Marinette said her bluebell eyes sparkling.
"I-i don't know.. I guess" Chloe said turning around and smiling.
And it was a genuine one.
