At Lyon's funeral...
{Juvia's POV}
The wooden coffin was in front of the altar. They lifted the lid. Gray and I stood in front of the coffin. I was griping onto his hand so tightly.
In the wooden coffin, Lyon lay sleeping. Except he wasn't sleeping... he was dead.
Gray was prohibiting any emotions from showing, but I could tell he thought it was his fault. Lyon's death.
I was holding back a river of tears, but one escaped. After all, I was only human.
As we all stood there, Gray and I, Wendy and Carla, and the entire of Lamia Scale, gazing upon Lyon's corpse, there was a change in the magic in the room. It shifted.
That's when the temperature started to fall tremendously. The air suddenly smelled like burnt wood and blood. Rotting flesh. The magic in the room changed from light, to something much darker. We could all sense the tremendous change in magic. There was a lot of power now. A lot. And since we were all mages, we sensed this.
Our expressions changed from sad and mourning to wide and alert. Everyone looked around curiously, trying to identify the origin of this change. There was whispering and talking in the background.
Suddenly, the room went completely quiet, silenced by a huge thud.
Thud.
The ground vibrated.
I looked at Gray, my eyes wide with fear.
"That's not possible..." he muttered.
THUD.
The ground shook.
I could've sworn Gray looked terrified. He recognized these sounds. His eyes widened and he turned around.
Thud!
The ground shook tremendously, causing the walls to crack in some areas.
"You all need to get out of here NOW!" Gray shouted.
THUD!
The entire church shook.
"What is it Gray?!" I asked, my eyes wide with fear.
"It's Deliora."

.Suddenly, the roof collapsed down on us. No one got caught under the rubble luckily. I looked up, and to my horror, saw the beast Gray described as Deliora. It's skin as black as midnight, it's eyes, always watching, murderous. It's many many jagged teeth came out in strange ways, almost causing it to look like it was trying to creepily smile.
I screamed.
Before I knew it, Gray had scooped me up into his arms, and was running. He ran behind a couple of houses, where he set me down.
"Stay here," he instructed.
I wanted to help him fight it, but I knew it would be no use. It was a demon. Only demon slaying magic would work.
"No Gray! Don't go fight that thing! Please!" I cried in terror.
He had his hands on my shoulders. He looked down, then up at me. He smiled sweetly.
"Look Juv, I have to. It is my duty as a devil slayer. I... I'll be right back, I promise, Juvia," Gray said before brushing his lips against mine and running off to fight the beast.
Gray told Lamia Scale to run, and they did. They understood that this was a demon. Maybe even that it was one from the books of Zeref himself.
Why did I get the sudden impression that he didn't think he was going to make it alive?
I just sat there behind the buildings, frozen in fear. Gray battled the beast, using his devil slaying magic, which his father passed down to him. I guess it was only fair, after all, Deliora killed his father. This was a battle long overdue, and that, terrified me.
{Gray's POV}
I was fighting the beast. This wasn't Deliora. That I knew. For this to be Deliora, impossible. It was something much stronger...
"Who are you!?" I bellowed.
Ah... so I see you saw past my disguise? Smart boy.
"Who?!"
Me? You still haven't figured it out?
"WHO!?"
Hahahhahahhaha!
"Show your true form!"
Aw, but that would be no fun! I love to see you scared. Just like you are now. I can smell the fear all over you. Just like I could when you killed your brother...
"SHUTUP!"
HAHAHAHHAHA!!! And to answer your question, I am born from your fears. You, my dear Gray, only have three fears. Two passed, one to go. Your deepest, darkest fear. I'll be watching...
The demon disintegrated.
What the... born from my fears?! I didn't understand... the frustration made my head hurt. I closed my eyes, and waited for the ringing in my ears to go away. Then it did, and I opened my eyes. All the buildings... were normal. Untouched. I could hear people talking around me from Lamia Scale.
"Where did it go?!"
"What happened?"
"How are the buildings back to normal?!"
I didn't know the answer to any of these questions. Was it all... an illusion?! Impossible! But it could have been possible... wait a minute.
Juvia.
Where was Juvia?!
Was she okay?!
I ran back to where I left her. Behind the building. She was still there. Thank Mavis.
She was sitting against the wall, clutching her knees to her chest, crying. I felt a pain in my chest when I saw her.I sat down next to her and hugged her against me. She cried onto my chest. (Where the hell was my shirt and jacket?)
I didn't know what to say. We just stayed there, hugging, she was crying, I was staying strong. For the both of us.
Five minutes later...
I heard loud shouts. Obnoxious loud shouts. I recognized them.
That was Fairy Tail.
I got up while picking up Juvia. I slowly tried to let go of her, but her knees were weak. She couldn't stand. Was she that afraid?!
"Juvia?" I asked.
"The..." Juvia said softly and weakly, "the demon, it was using up my magic."
What?! Was this demon attaching itself to Juvia, using her as some sort of battery?! I was going to kill that demon if it was the last thing I did...
I put Juvia on my back, and she put me legs around me. I held her legs up and she put her arms around me. I walked toward my screaming guild members.
"GRAY!?"
"JUVIAAA!?"
I waved to them. They sighed in relief and ran over, they being Natsu, Lucy, Gajeel, Levy, Erza and Jellal.
Heyo! Hope you enjoyed! Cya!
