Chapter 39

{Juvia's POV}

     As I lay sobbing over his chest, I decided.

     I was not going to give up.

     I put my hands over him, trying to focus all the magic power in the room on bringing him back. I just wasn't strong enough. I sat in silence for a while then. Time was running out! What could I do?!

     Then, it hit me.

     As I sat there quietly, I heard the drumming of distant rain. Rain. RAIN!

     THE RAIN! Of course!

     When I was upset, the rain would come. It was the curse I was born with! If I could just tap into that curse power, I might be able to bring him back!

     That's when I let go of all my walls I had ever built in my heart.

     My emotions came flooding out with tears, and every inch of magic left in me, a glowing blue light, dancing away from me. My whole body started to glow, as the tremendous power lifted me, floating in mid-air. Blue light was everywhere, then, everything exploded.

     The room was demolished, and so was the mountain it was in. So that's where we were...

     There also were, and I repeat, were, lots of snowy mountains here. Now it was a crater, kilometers wide and far. A huge sphere, taken from the earth. As I slowly descended down to the ground, all the light fading, I felt a new kind of power flowing through me. It was stronger, better. I also noticed that I had been completely healed. My clothes had been disintegrated. The demon was now awake, staring at me in horror.

     "H-How?" The demon questioned.

     I raided my hand, and clicked my fingers. Just as I did, his head exploded. Blood was sprayed everywhere, as his body fell limp to the floor.

     That's when an overwhelming tiredness hit me like a brick wall, and I collapsed, right next to Gray. As I heard his steady breath, and beating heart, I whispered in his ear.

     "I love you too."

     Then, I passed out.
