Hello! Sorry for the hangcliff, again, hee hee! Hope you enjoy this chapter! And can anyone tell me what POV means? XD , Please comment!
{Juvia's POV}
I was really warm, boiling, then I started to cool down. The nightmare was fading, it seemed too real. It was just too real... I knew I was dreaming, but maybe... maybe it was real. Maybe my nightmare would come true one day... Gray would be dead... and it would all be my fault. There was blackness all around me, I couldn't move. I couldn't feel my body. I cried.
The first thing that came to me, was my hearing. I heard a voice. A whispering, soothing voice. I couldn't quite make out what it was saying, since I was in such screaming pain.
That was the next sense that came to me, the sense to feel. I could feel where the whip had struck in my dream, except, it wasn't fading. The pain was so real. I could feel my hand, I placed it to the place the whip had struck unconsciously, and my hand was wet. Then my sense of smell came. I smelt blood.
No, it couldn't be real... could it? No. NO! Was Gray dead?! I screamed. I sobbed harder. No... why?! Then my sight came back. The ringing in my ears faded. I was looking at Gray's face, staring down at me. He wasn't dead?! Thank goodness! I could only peek my eyes open, so my eyes looked closed, because of the pain I was in. He hugged me closer to him.
"I'm sorry Juvia, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, please, wake up... it was all just... a... nightmare... please, you're okay now, I'm here. Please wake up, please," he whispered to me.
He sounded so scared. His voice was wavering. I had never seen him like this... never. It hurt. I tried to speak, but couldn't. Then I started to get my voice back.
{Gray's POV}
I was in so much pain, it was unbearable, seeing her like this. I didn't care about the cuts on my back, just about her. She had to be okay. She looked dead... and that was more horrifying than any unnatural torturer. I continued soothing her. My throat hurt after a while. A couple minutes passed until;
"What happened?" Juvia croaked.
Juvia! She was okay!
"You're okay!" I said, wincing.
"Well Juvia wouldn't say that..." she said sadly.
"You were... sleepwalking..." we all knew the danger of mages sleepwalking. It could be disastrous on even a national scale.
"Is Juvia hurt?" she asked.
"Yeah, not too bad though, not as bad as me so don't worry!" I said.
Damn it.
"Did Juvia hurt you!?" she said worriedly.
I didn't answer.
"Put Juvia down." Juvia instructed. I was about to rebel against her command when she said just do it Gray.
I did. I didn't want to, but oh well. I was in no condition to argue. When I did, she turned into her Water Body, then back to normal. She was completely fine then. No cuts, no bruises, no scars. Nothing. She quickly ran to me then. She looked really worried. That's when I collapsed, I didn't pass out though, I was just laying on my side. I winced in pain.
Juvia gasped when she saw my cuts. She put her hands up to cover her mouth and she started crying.
"Juvia is so sorry! Sorry! No! How could she do this to you?! Sorry, sorry, sorry! Juvia can fix this! Just... wait here!" she ran off crying.
Where was she going? She said she could fix this, hm. I was just glad she was okay. I didn't even feel the pain as long as I was thinking of her.
Then Juvia came back with a bowl, a stone, some bandages, and a couple of magical herbs. She dropped down to her knees and started to mix the ingredients, smashing them together with the stone. Her hands were shaking really bad now. It made her drop the stone. She started sobbing and looking at her hands.
"Juvia... can't..." she sobbed.
I reached out and put her hands in mine. I smiled weakly at her. She started to go back to the stone and bowl. She was very determined now. Soon, the salve was done. She went behind me, and started to apply in the cuts. I winced a couple of times, but then she was done, and she put her hands on my side and started to chant words in a dialect I didn't recognise.
At first nothing happened. Then she tried again. Her hands started to glow. It was a gold glow. It was warm. My back stopped hurting, but just tingled where the cuts were. Was that healing magic? Juvia helped me sit up. Then she started to sob.
"Juvia is so sorry Gray! She, she didn't mean to hurt anyone-" she cried.
I grabbed her by the waist and hugged her. We on our knees, finding comfort in each other's embrace. I soothed her.
"I know, I know..." I told her.
Then we just stayed like that for a while. We didn't speak. I kissed her on the cheek.
"I'm just glad you're okay," I whispered.
"But you're not..." she cried.
"But I don't mind that," I said.
"But Juvia does," she sobbed.
"...What magic was that?" I asked her, breaking the silence.
"An old form of forgotten healing magic. It's called 'Ambrosia Magic'," she replied.
"When did you learn that?" I asked curiously.
"... When Juvia was a kid, the other kids would hurt her. She learned this magic to heal herself," she explained.
"You never told me about your childhood..." I told her.
"It's not a very good story, but Juvia will tell you when you want to hear it," she said.
I was at rest now. We were both fine. I could feel the cuts on my back healing, quicker than usual. Then I got her in my arms and stood up. I pulled her bedsheets down and set her on the bed. Then I pulled up her sheets, and tucked her in. I kissed her on the forehead. I started to walk out, but I stopped in the doorway when Juvia spoke.
"Please don't leave Juvia here alone Gray..." she said.
Hey guys! I gotta go get some sleep now, sorry I couldn't make this chapter longer! I probs won't post tomorrow cuz I'll be busy. Cya all!
