How did so many chapters suddenly appear out of nowhere? Huh... I have no idea... ANYWAYS HEYO! Hope y'all loooooove this chapter!
{Gray's POV}
Juvia was still crying by the time I had walked home with her.
Mavis was that walk difficult. It wasn't too hard carrying Juvia's weight, but it got complicated when she started throwing magic attacks at me.
She had calmed down now. I kicked open the door and closed it behind me, before setting Juvia down on the couch. Her eyes were puffy and red and her nose and ears were burning a bright pink. I walked to the kitchen, got a glass of water, and sat down beside her, handing her the glass. She looked angry at me at first, before reluctantly taking the glass and sipping it slowly.
"You promised me you wouldn't have any booze Juv," I said.
"Juvia never promised--... you ordered her. Just like Juvia ordered you to not keep secrets from her, but yet you are hiding something..." she said in a low voice.
Did she know about my frozen heart?! No... I was just over thinking this. There was no possible way she knew. She was just drunk and taking nonsense.
"I'm not keeping anything from you Juvia," I lied.
"Yes you are. And if you still think you're not, then Juvia will prove it to you. Juvia might be wrong, but then what is this? Gray?" Juvia said taking out a small melting piece of ice from her pocket. That was my frozen heart. It was the size of an ice cube now.
That was in my pocket! I put my hand in my pocket, it wasn't there. I sighed.
"Juvia--"
"No, Gray, tell me what this is. Now!" Juvia demanded.
"Juvia... fine. You really want to know? It's a representive of my heart," I huffed.
"There you go--... wait what?" Juvia asked.
I sighed again.
"Look, Juv, when a ice magic user obtains their powers, their heart turns into ice. It is irreversible. That ice is unmeltable, except if melted by one thing... it's... it's true love," I explained, immediately regretting it.
Juvia looked like she sobered up a bit.
"But what happens when the heart melts?" Juvia asked me.
I looked down to the floor, then guiltily trailed my eyes back up to her ocean blue eyes, for I had no idea what to say. But I didn't have to say anything.
"You... you die?!" Juvia asked, covering her gaping mouth with both of her hands.
I reached for her hand, but she quickly withdrew. She stood up, and so did I. She was pacing back and forth, and I just watched her, until she stopped to face me, about a meter away.
"You... YOU PROMISED! YOU PROMISED YOU WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME!" Juvia shouted.
"Well what do you want me to do, huh?! There is nothing I can do!" I shouted.
"You... YOU CAN'T! YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME! NOT NOW!" Juvia screamed.
I felt a strange anger bubbling up in me, deep down.
"Why NOT!?" I shouted.
"BECAUSE I'M P-- because..." Juvia burst into tears.I immediately regreted shouting, but my tsundere anger would not shut up.
"Why?!" I asked, more agressively than I intended to.
"BECAUSE I'M PREGNANT WITH OUR CHILD! THERE! I SAID IT!" Juvia shouted.
.
.
.
...What?
.
.
.Juvia covered her mouth in sudden surprise, as if shocked she had said that. I was more shocked. No... shocked was not the word.
Juvia's muffled cries echoed in my throbbing head. The word "pregnant" rang through my head as she screamed it. I could still hear it's quietening echo. That's when the word started to mean something to me. Juvia was pregnant. She was going to give birth to a child... my... child. I WAS GOING TO BE A FATHER!?
No you won't.
What do you mean conscious?
"MY... OUR CHILD CAN'T GROW UP WITHOUT A FATHER! I CAN'T DO THIS ON MY OWN! There... there has to be a way! To save you! Please..." Juvia started to weep, as if already mourning my loss.
I wondered if she would weep this way when I was dead, maybe less, maybe more. She a was right of course. Our child would grow up fatherless, and Juvia would have to go through that alone.
"Juvia... there's no way I can live... I could collapse now even," I explained.
"You can't just give up that easily!" Juvia screamed.
Her voice echoed in my mind. She ran into my opened arms, crying on my bare chest. I didn't care where my shirt was at this point of time.
Oh Juv... if I could stay alive, I could have all I ever wanted. I would have a future and a family with Juvia. That was all I ever wanted--
My thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a loud thud.
A man in a black cloak had kicked down my front door. I pushed Juvia behind me and stepped forward.
Who was this man? No... not man... demon. This was that demon. It was the one from Juvia's nightmares, it was Lyon, it was Deliora, and here it was again.
"What do you want?!" I growled.
He took a few steps towards me. I couldn't see his face under the big black cloak. He pulled out his gloved hand, and waved it at me, whispering a few words. Then, my whole vision danced with lines as big black spots splattered my sight, and everything went grey. I heard Juvia's terrified scream before I completely passed out.
HANGCLIFF DUN DUN DUN! HAHA XD I'm sorry! Cya next time! Remember to vote, so I can write more, comment to tell me what you think, ND follow me to know exactly when the next chapter comes out! Thanks!
