Chapter 15

Alex POV:

BEEP BEEP BEEP! Ugh, stupid alarm clock. I got up and got ready for hell. "Alex, you have 15 minutes before school. You better have woken up." My mom yelled from downstairs. I opened the door and yelled, "I'm already up."
My outfit consists of a green army jacket, white t-shirt, dark jeans, and brown booties. My hair is up in a messy bun. Grabbing my backpack, I walked downstairs.
"That took you long enough." Ethan said grabbing the keys. "Should I ask Blake if he wants a ride?" Already opening the door without hearing his answer. I ran halfway to his house because we all know I'm out of shape."Hey big baby, you wanna ride?!?" His parents already knew that I'm going to their house everyday when they found we're friends again so they leave it unlock for me.
"Yea sure. Let me grab my things first." Blake said getting his backpack. Together, we walked outside seeing Ethan already waiting in the driveway. Once we got in the car, we drove to school. "Alex, you better not leave me when I get my schedule." Blake said seriously. I chuckled, "why would I do that?"  "You left me to go hang out with your friends when I got my schedule in junior high."
"Hey, that was one thing." I said defensively. "Get out of the car and stop fighting." Ethan said and got out. We got out and we see him and his friends doing the bro hug.
"Hey Ethan, did your sister got hotter?" A guy said in his football said which was Tate.
"Did your big ego make me wanna throw up? I think so." I said getting angrier by the minute. Ethan chuckled and his friends started saying "ooh". "I think we should get my schedule now." Blake said being awkward. We started walking to the office until we heard Tate saying, "remember me Blake?" He said with a smirk. Blake ignored that and rushingly walking to the office. I jogged where he was and we entered the office.
"Hi, I'm new here." Blake said. The office lady, ms. Shepard smiled. "What's your name,honey?"
"Blake, Blake Gray."
"Here's your schedule and have fun." I looked at his schedule and he has 2 periods with me. 1st period and 8th period. We walked to his locker to put his books in his locker. "Blake, do you know Tate?" Wondering why Tate said that.
"No, I never heard of him."
"But..." Clicking heels interrupted me. "Hey babe, wanna go out some time?" Shelby said while twirling her hair and chewing her gum obnoxiously. "Sorry, I don't go out with hoes." Blake fake smiled. I laughed so loud, Shelby gave me a death glare and walked away. Hunter never texted me when he said he will. It's been 5 months since he told me that. I frowned at that. "Hey, what's wrong? You keep looking distant and have a frown." Blake said.
"I keep thinking what if Hunter doesn't like me anymore and just thought we broke up. Am I not that good enough to be his girlfriend?" Blake gave me hug and I realized I was crying. "Hey don't cry. It will be alright. He's probably busy." He kissed my head and wiped my tears.
Ding
"Come on, we have first period together." He said with a small smile. I walked to a seat and the teacher introduced Blake to the class. Girls started whispering to each other about how hot Blake is. He walked to the empty seat besides me.

Lunch:
We met up and got lunch. He followed me to the table I always sit with Veronica, Adam, and Naylene. Adam and Naylene came to the table first. "OMG OMG I MIS....." Naylene realized that Blake was here.
"Hey um guys. Do you remember Blake in middle school? He's back." I said nervously. I hope they don't get angry at him for what he'd done to me in the past. They both said hey which made me relieved. I introduced the twins to Blake even if they knew him or not. Me and Naylene were talking about how Shawn mendes and Cameron Dallas doesn't look like each other while Blake and Adam talked about football. "Hey guys, hi Blake." Veronica putting her tray on the table. I looked at her crazy. How did she know Blake when I didn't introduce him to her. " We have science together." Veronica said when she noticed I hadn't surprised look on my face.
"So Blake, are you going to ask coach if he can put you in the team?" Adam asked. "Really Adam, he just got back." I said. "It's fine Alex, relax. I might ask him."
End of the day
We waited on the bleachers because Ethan was our ride home. A smile lit up my face when I got a text from Hunter.
H:hey Alex
Me: hi hunter I missed you so much
H: I have to tell you something
Me: okay, shoot
H: I'm breaking up w/ u. It's not u, it's me. I'm really busy with stuff and I don't have time to be in a relationship. :(
I put my phone back in my pocket. W-why me? "Excuse me, Blake." I said, putting my head down. "Are you okay?" Blake said.
"IM FINE. NOW EXCUSE ME." I said impatiently. "Alex, your lying. I know when something is up."
"Fine, Hunter broke up with me. There, happy now?!" I said, my eyes are getting watery. Blake was about to give me a hug but I pushed him away from me. He came closer to me and he hugged me. I cried on his shoulder, "why does it have to be me? He made me happy, he really did. Now it vanished. I'm so lost Blake." He didn't say anything but kept hugging me. We were liked that until football practice was over.
