Riley's POV

As soon as the words left my mouth, I knew I had made a big mistake.

A few of the girls laughed, a few looked mad and a few were just plain confused.

I didn't dare look back at Maya.

A girl with long blonde hair walked a few steps in front of me.

"Are you guys dating?" She asked, sounding jealous and annoyed.

My face turned bright red and looked down.

"I knew it!" Another girl from behind her shouted.

"You guys are all over each other." The girl laughed.

Maya stepped up behind me, and looked them straight in the eyes.

"We aren't dating." She said sternly but the girls only laughed.

"I mean I could see why you wouldn't want anyone knowing about it, look at her she's hideous." She gestured to Riley.

"You should date me." Another girl winked at Maya.

Maya took one step towards the girl who called me hideous and there was about 1 inch space between their faces.

"Riley is the most beautiful girl I have ever met. She's amazing and even if she wasn't very attractive, which she in fact is very attractive, I don't go for looks unlike you and your one night standers." She pushed the girls shoulders, lightly, causing the other girl to fly back and land right on her butt.

Damn she must be strong.

I stood there for a minute, trying to register what had just happened, as well as the other girls.

Maya turned around and walked into our cabin.

She thinks I'm beautiful?

I turned around, walking straight into the cabin, gleaming with happiness.

She thinks I'm beautiful.

I saw Maya reading 'Paper Towns' while laying down on her bunk.

I walked up to the bunk. Somehow, she hadn't noticed me yet.

"So you think I'm beautiful?" I asked. Making her jump.

Her face went red within a few seconds of realizing what I had just asked.

"You think I'm hot?" She smirked.

It was my turn for my face to go red.

"I possibly may happen to think that." I answered.

She smiled and nodded.

"I may perhaps think your beautiful." She giggled.

I blushed and stared deep into those striking icy blue orbs.

She got lost in my as well, and suddenly our lips connected.

It was a soft short kiss, nothing too crazy.

When the kiss broke, we both smiled wide and leaned in for another, longer kiss.

When that kiss broke, the piercing sound of the bell, signally 1st period went off.

I grabbed my books, helped Maya down from the bunk and we both walked to class together in silence.

We didn't need to talk to know what we were both thinking.
