I should have never left. I should have never left. I should have never left, but I did. I've ruined his life enough.

"But I cant go back, Ri," I said.

"Jack, please. You know what happened when you left last time. He was a worse mess that you've ever been," Rian pleaded, but all I could see was all the hurt I would continue to cause.

"You'd be lying to yourself if you said it wasn't for the best, I said, looking down at the ground, my face growing hot. Don't cry, jack. Keep it together.

"To be honest, you are fucked up no matter what, Rian said, his face like stone. "Alex had always been fine and then you two started going out. You ruined him. You will ruin him by leaving too. It's just a fucked up situation."

"Thanks Rian. You really know how to make a guy feel better."

"You'd be lying to yourself if you didn't agree."

I felt my eyes begin to sting. "Fuck you all."

And I left. For good, this time.
