At Maya's friend's place after that concert, there was only a futon to sleep on, so Maya and I had to share it.

The lights went out, and all I could see was darkness.

I was turned toward her, and after my eyes adjusted to the dark, I noticed that she was staring right back at me.

She smiled in the darkness.

My heart was beating rapidly, so fast I wondered if she could hear it.

I rolled over, I felt so... I'm not sure... Nervous?

After a moment, she put her arm around me, and whispered in my ear,

"I really like you."

I just nodded my head, and, I really, really hope she could tell...
I really hope that she meant what I think she meant...

I felt like a shook up can of soda ever since.

I hope we can talk before I blow up.
