I truly don't understand how someone could be so careless, So cold, so... idiotic. A promise... A simple promise is why you hang on? That's why we have made it so far? That's why we work so well together? That's why I am in love with you? It's insane! I've given so much, poured so much into our time together and you don't even care about me? All you care about is some stupid promise! Do you even have emotions?! Do you understand them?! Can you feel love?! Why can't you see me?! Well, it doesn't matter Mr. Fortune you will learn to appreciate me. At least I hope so. I need you to. Maybe I need to prove myself or maybe I just need a distraction. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm falling from my faith. Maybe I just need to stop caring... But how? - Ina

[Sanctuary]

A cold wind blows across the large desolate desert. As a rift tears through the very reality in which it was founded . Seven martials were spit out. Ina, C4, Suzu, Axel, Angela, Aero, and Rin. Each making safe passage. The rift closes behind them returning the area to it's natural temperatures.

Axel - Hey is that supposed to happen?

Angela - We won't be coming back this way. I believe Raikon is our only ticket back.

Ina began walking ahead without any word. C4, Rin and Suzu quickly follow.

Axel - So yeah I know we aren't from your squad and all but a bit of warning would be nice.

Angela - Just come on. You know this isn't normal.

Angela, Axel, and Aero run to catch up to the others. Ina began to speak in a low yet aggressive tone.

Ina - You may want to keep at our pace. Anything further is too dangerous.

Angela - You're right. I apologize.

Axel - So I heard she was kind of hostile. Is that gonna be it or can I expect to get punched in the face or something like that And did you just apologize? You of all people?

Angela - I have my reasons. As far as Ina goes I've never really worked directly with her before. I don't know what to expect.

Axel - We could be stuck here with a psycho? Great.

Aero - I know you're joking but let's keep that to a minimum.

Angela - Tell me Axel. Why were you so eager to save Rin back at home.

Axel - Well everyone knows that if you save the girl and she'll fall in love with you.

Rin shocked by his words looks to the ground in sorrow.

Rin - I'm sorry... I don't love you...

Aero - Uh... don't take it so literal. He's only joking. Though if he wasn't you're at no fault.

Rin - I'm sorry.

Angela - Why do you keep apologizing?

Rin - I'm sorry. I just... I don't want to burden all of you or anyone else. Leave me. I am simply a hazard. What importance does my life serve?

Clearly irritated, Angela stops walking.

Angela - Could you say that again?

The others stop as well and turn back to see what the delay was.

Rin - I only mean to say that if I were gone there would no longer be a burden on you guys. I've caused nothing but problems from the start. Would it not be better if I were dead?

Angela grabs Rin's shirt and pulls her closer.

Angela - You are serious aren't you? Giving up on life because you believe you're a burden to... to us? What importance does your life serve? I guess you look at any one of us and say something like that. Your important to us. Which is why we put ourselves in harms way to protect you. You didn't cause anything. We stepped in on our own. You are a friend. You get that?! Stop acting so pessimistic! Where is that getting anyone huh?!
