Fortune, Just Fortune

Since I can remember I've known nothing but loss. My mother was taken from me moments after my conscious birth and my father... well he went MIA on his final mission. He was a hero, A legend. They both were and with their synergy I have a mass of power to take over the family business and become a hero. A group that calls themselves Karma threaten our position. They hate my father and because of it they want to take our land. They want me dead but they'll have one hell of a fight on their hands if they want to take me out. I'm not as calm as my parents. In fact my temper is worst than my current guardians. My father's apprentice Edge and my mothers apprentice Mimi raise me so it's not a complete loss. I still have some remnant of my parents. My name is Faye Fortune but to honor my father and all that he's done I go by Fortune, just Fortune And I will Make Talus the great land it once was and bring the Reagles back to their former pride.

Fortune and Edge stand atop what was left of the Red Eagle overviewing the destruction of Talus after an unexpected assault. Fortune's fist was balled so tightly she was bleeding.

Fortune: Wow... I never thought i'd see Talus like this...

Edge: So what do we do now?

Fortune: I will kill them all! Each and every one of them that thinks they're safe because of their little surprise attack.

Edge grabs Fortune's arm as she tries to jump down.

Edge: We shouldn't have been caught off guard in the first place. This isn't something we can combat being reckless.

Fortune: They're killing people! They've killed people! I'm not gonna stand by and watch it!

Edge: What would your father do?

Fortune: My father is gone!

Edge:...

Fortune: Right?

Edge: Not completely...

Fortune pulls Edge by his arm and punches him dead in the face nearly throwing him from the roof.

Fortune: We need my father! "I" need my father!

Edge: You can't get there. Even if you could he won't help. Probably doesn't want to see anyone at this point.

Fortune: I'm his daughter! Take me to him or so help me god I will kill you.

Edge: That's not how this works Fortune and we don't have time for this.

Edge slowly reaches for his scythe as Fortune approaches.

Fortune: Go ahead your going to need it. I win you take me to my dad.

Edge slams his hand down and stands realizing what he was doing.

Edge: We don't have time to teach you how to meditate.

Fortune: So Haven? That's where he is?

Edge: How do you...

Mimi: Fortune settle down. Save your strength for the enemy. Edge just show her how to do it. I'll maintain our home. I'm sure Gyro wouldn't mind seeing his daughter.

Edge: Fine but don't blame me when it goes nothing like you expect. Do you think you can find peace in that hot head of yours?

Fortune: I am always at peace thank you.

Edge: Good.

Edge punches Fortune knocking her unconscious.

Mimi: What are you doing?!

Edge: You didn't see how she just hit me. Anyway she has Haven in mind. She knows about it somehow. She'll get there now.
