Stiles' POV:
Beep, beep, beep...
"Ugh."
First day of senior year. Pretty great, right? Well, at least I'm almost done. But, then again, I don't really know what I'm gonna do with out my friends. I still have a whole year ahead of me, let's not think about that yet.
I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and got dressed in blue jeans, a gray t-shirt and a purple and white flannel over it. I grabbed a banana to eat as I drive to school, and headed towards the car.
When I got into my car, my phone beeped. I got a text. From Lydia. Oh, Lydia. Me and Lydia have been friends for a while but I've always had feelings for her. As I was dating Malia, the feelings kinda got smaller, but when me and Malia broke up, all of those feelings came back.
L: Hey, S. Do u think u could pick me up b4 school? I need a ride and I lost my car keys...😬 thx! xoxo ~Lyd
I quickly replied:
S: Classic, Lyd... Can I pick u up in 5?
L: Ya! thx so much!!
I drove to her house and she was waiting outside in a beautiful yellow sundress, I think that's what it's called. She was wearing brown boots and a short yellow dress with 3 buttons going down from her collar. She got in the car, reached over to give me a hug and put her seatbelt on.
L: Thank you so much! You are the best!
S: I'm kinda surprised you asked me.
L: What do you mean?
S: You always lose your keys. Doesn't... um.... Malia usually take you to school?
L: You've seen that girl try to drive. And besides, we haven't talked in a while, you and me, I thought it would be fun.
S: Yeah.
L: So, what's going on in your life?
S: Um, well nothing much.
L: If you don't mind me asking, how are you handling the breakup?
S: Great, actually! I mean, not great. But better than I thought it would be.
L: Yeah, well at least you guys are still friends.
S: Yeah. And besides, our chemistry wasn't always so great. I mean, like, when it was good it was GOOD, but, like, when it was bad, we barely talked for days. I feel like, anytime we disagreed on something, it was a huge deal, and anytime we fought the next few days were like walking on broken glass. I mean, it came to a point where neither of us were really together anymore, I mean we said we were together but when we were alone we didn't act like it. You know?
L: Not really. I've never really been in a relationship with someone like that.
S: What about Jackson?
L: Whenever we really loved each other, there was something in the way of us being together. I just want someone I can rely on.
I stopped the car.
S: Yeah, me too.
We looked at each other for a good 10 seconds without saying anything.
Then, she leaned in and I leaned in, and kissed, long and slow.
I backed out and just stared into her beautiful hazel eyes.
S: We should probably get to school. We don't wanna be late on the first day.
L: Yeah. And maybe you could give me a ride home after school ends.
S: Sounds great. ________________________________________________________________________________
