"i look gross," selena sighed
"nah, you look good," justin smiled. he couldn't believe how cute she was.
selena shook her head, signaling 'no', but she couldn't help the slight blush that played on her cheeks.
"you have tattoos," she pointed out, her eyes lighting up.
"yes? i do," justin was worried. for some reason he couldn't pin out, selena's opinion was important to him. he wanted to be liked by her, but he wasn't sure why.
"i like them," she exclaimed, showing a bright smile. selena was highly fascinated in tattoos. she loved knowing that a work made of permanent ink on your body had it's own hidden story and meaning. selena even had a few tattoos herself.
there was a knock on selena's front door. although selena didn't want justin to notice it, he quickly took note of the way she immediately tensed. sighing, selena pressed the mute button. she already knew who was at the door - her infamous ex boyfriend.
selena came back a few minutes later, but justin knew something was off. her body was slightly shaky and her face had a look that said she could cry any second if anyone pressured a topic anymore. she pressed the button once again to un-mute her side of the conversation.
"sorry, it was my mom coming home from work," it was a lie. even justin knew it.
"i know that's a lie, but i'll let it go for now. you can talk to me if you like," justin reassured her. from experience, justin was now fully aware to not be too pushy with her while practically demanding for her to tell him what happened.
she nodded before giving him a slight smile, then taking a deep breath.
"anyways, you said you live in california, right?" justin asked.
"yes, why?" selena responded, confused as to why he needed to know.
"we should meet up sometime - like within the next few months," he suggested, giving her a slight shrug.
"well, we'll see where our friendship goes from here, then decide," she giggled.
"oh my god. it's been confirmed - selena considers me as one of her friends," justin gasped.
