'Lola! Someone is on the phone for you!' My mum shouted up to me.
I ran down wondering who it could be normally family and friends just text me or call me on my mobile so it must be important I thought.
'Hello?' I said.
'Knock knock, who's there?' The other person on the phone said before hanging up.
It was a mans voice, and one I hadn't heard before. I put the phone down and ran through to tell my mum about the phonecall.
'Mum...' I said to her more scared than ever.
'Lola I'm not interested I'm busy.' She said to me.
'But mum?!' I shouted desperately.
'Look I'm not interested in what you and your friends talk about on the phone I already told him you could go to his party on Saturday night, ill even drop you off. He sounded like a nice boy, said he had a surprise for you so I don't mind as long as you don't get yourself into any trouble.' She said and walked away from me before I even got the chance to speak back.
Party? Surprise? I couldn't understand what was happening. This person was playing mind games with me now I was getting exrtremely creeped out. It must just be one of my friends playing a prank on me I thought so I better get shopping for the party and I can ask them to stop it then.
I got up and got ready and headed to the shops with the money I had left. I picked out a nice strappless purple dress and shoes and a bag to match, I just had enough money to pay for it all but I was very happy with my purchase so I didn't mind all my money being spent.
As I was waiting for my bus my phone buzzed in my pocket telling me I had a text message as I pulled it out and read the message I didn't like what I seen.
'I've been knocking for you, why won't you answer? I see you lie there wide awake afterwards, don't be scared I'm watching your every move, nobody will hurt you sweetie not unless you tell that is.
The police station was only five minute walk from here, I was so tempted to run and tell them what had been happening recently, and I was just about to when my phone went off again.
'What a cute brother you have, you wouldn't want him to get hurt would you? He enjoys playing cars with me.'
Cars was my brothers favourite game, running around pretending to drive one. How did this person know that? How did they even know I had a brother or get anywhere near him?
After I got off the bus I ran all the way to my house, I couldn't forget they texts and I couldn't beat the thought of someone hurting my family.
I had planned to tell my mum but I was scared of the consequences, what if the person got to my family before the police got to them...
I sat my phone down on my bed and went down to help my mum with the housework, trying to carry on as normal as possible but it was too hard.
'Mum there's something I need to show you.' I said to her.
I ran up the stairs to get my phone and went on the texts to get them up and ready to show her except they were gone,. They had just dissapea but there was one text that had came through that I hadn't read yet.
Stupid move LOLA. That's one mark down on the book for you, tut tut tut....
