My heart was pounding. The house phone started ringing and my mobile phone was going off like mad. There was banging from above me and weird tapping. I ran out of my room screaming.
‘Mum! Mum, help me please!’
There was no answer. I ran around the house frantically looking for her but she was no where to be seen. Neither was my younger brother.
The banging from above me seemed to follow me around no matter where I went in this house. I couldn’t take it.
I let myself fall to the floor as tears streamed down my face and I screamed until my throat was throbbing.
‘Lola? Lola what’s wrong?’ I heard my mums voice say.
I looked up expecting it all to just be my mind but there she was standing with my brother in her arms.
‘Where were you?!’ I screamed in her face, as if I was angry at her and not who ever was doing this to me.
‘Lola I was out in the back garden doing gardening while your brother played on the trampoline. Stop being so stupid, you have been acting so weird lately. You’re a teenager act your age. Now go upstairs and freshen up we are all going out for dinner later to try have some family time. Your dad will be home soon, you better be ready and on your best behaviour none of this nonsense.’ She said to me with a stern look.
I walked to the bottom of the stairs and looked up. The last thing I wanted to do was to go up there but I knew eventually I had to.
Slowly I took each step up the stairs looking all around me, upstairs and down. I listened out for my mystery knocker but there was no more banging or any noises at all.
I went into the bathroom and turned the taps on at the sink to clean my face. My eyes had big black circles around them from my mascara from when I had been crying hysterically in fear.
I looked up into the mirror to check it had all gone and I could see a man behind me wearing a black T-shirt and jeans.
‘Knock knock undo the lock’ He said into my ear.
I screamed and turned around but he was gone. I looked around upstairs but he was nowhere to be found. Who was this person and what did he want?
I knew nobody would listen to me now, everyone would think I was crazy. I was in this alone and had to carry on as normal as best as I could.
I changed into a nice top and trousers , fixed my hair and make up and was ready to go. I had felt a little better and a lot more calmer after freshening up until I checked my mobile phone.
‘Looking pretty sweetie, hope you enjoy the food as much as I will. I must say I would definitely recommend the restaurant your heading to. Maybe one day ill take you there myself.’
How did this man know where I was going?! He was ruining my life and I couldn’t stop him or tell anyone. He had me under complete control.
I didn’t want to go out for dinner now but I also did not and would not stay in the house alone. I used to enjoy it but there was no way I would now!
My dad arrived home and barely spoke to me, this family time was needed. When we arrived at the restaurant everything seemed pretty normal.
I ordered steak pie and chips and was enjoying it and the conversation around the table until my phone buzzed.
‘Ohh good choice, that’s exactly what I chose.’ It said.
‘Put that phone away dear please.’ My dad said to me, and I did as I was told happily.
I looked around to see if I could spot the man but there was no one. He was pretty good at hiding him self from me, and I hoped that he didn’t show him self again any time soon.
Thanks so much for all your votes/comments and messages, hope you continue to enjoy and let me know what you think<3! Next update on Monday!x
