I walked around unsure of what to do, desperate to find a way out, but there was nothing. I couldn't understand what was going on, but I didn't want to waste another minute in here so I did as I was asked.
I looked at the leaflets, wondering which one to go for first. The tasks couldn't be too hard, could they? I prepared myself as I finally picked one to open first, but I could never have prepared my self for the task.
'Use the map provided and you will be directed to a building. In the building there will be another envelope for you telling you how to pass your task.'
I followed the map, everywhere looked the same until eventually there was several buildings ahead. I went to the one I was told to go and slowly opened the door.
The room was plain, with only a door opposite and an envelope sitting on the floor, it was freezing! I picked the envelope up and nervously opened it.
'Go through the door, you might want to hold your nose...The people who have been here and failed are through there in a pile in the middle of the floor. Move them to each side of the room leaving a space in the middle. You will find a box with a treat if you pass, don't be shy its not like they can say anything to you.
I walked through and my stomach turned at the sight and smell of lifeless rotting bodies. They were all on top of each other, like they were nothing...
I grabbed the one at the top pulling it down and the letting go as it fell against the ground. This was my first task, I couldn't fail already.
Trying to block out what it was I was handling I grabbed the bodies one by one moving them to either side of the room. They were so light and fragile I couldn't believe they were once a living person.
Once I had finished moving each body to a side of the room the little brown box lay on a cross, I walked over to it wondering what could be inside.
'Well done you passed, unfortunately for you this was one of the easy tasks, prepare yourself for a lot harder ones in the future. Enjoy your treat while it lasts.'
There was some food and drink but the last thing I felt like doing was eating, even though I was starving the smallest crumb would of made me sick.
