a/n: annoying time jumps ftw and as usual, unedited :)
Scott was... done. Just done. He supposed Mitch noticed the difference over the last few days, but he really couldn't care. He killed... no, helped kill Alex. He tossed his body out of the window and pulled off all his fingernails. He even held the poor bastard's mouth open as Mitch ripped out all of his teeth. Scott released a bitter laugh and lowered his head, avoiding his reflection with an even more bitter grin. He assisted in a murder.
The blond's mind went back to the news he listened to the day after Alex's death. How many days ago was that? Four? Six? He remembered freezing as he saw his ex-crushes face flash across the screen, along with the grim face of the newscaster. "The body of Alexander Kirk, an employee at the local Quik-Mart, was found murdered outside of a nearby apartment complex. Officials are looking into the cause of this horrific murder, but seem to be looking at the currently wanted serial killer, Mitchell Grassi. More at 11." The fact Scott remembered every word was amusing. He could hardly recall anything else anymore.
His gaze snapped to the door as he heard the knob jiggle. " Scottie, baby, please come out." Mitch called, his voice muffled through the door. Scott narrowed his eyes, but that was it. No other reactions. Scott watched the shadows under the door move for a few minutes before they disappeared, the sound of receding footsteps echoing down the hallway.
Cautiously, Scott lifted his eyes and made eye contact with himself. His faded blue eyes danced over his tired, gaunt features quietly. His fingers ran down his torso and he hummed at the feeling of ribs. Mitch thought it was sexy; Scott thought it was hideous.
Scott's jaw clenched and he looked back at his eyes, seeing the silent resolve in them. This was it. He was ending it, even if it killed him.
It probably was going to kill him.
Scott slowly tilted his head, hearing Mitch come back down the hall and dropped his shirt, flinging the door open just as Mitch reached for the knob. Mitch raised an eyebrow and smiled sweetly. Scott scoffed. The little dick was infatuated with him. Disgusting.
"What were you doing in there, sweetie?" Mitch ran a hand down Scott's torso, biting his lip as his hand inched lower and lower. Scott hummed and just stood there, staring at the wall over Mitch's head.
"Just washing up." He replied. Even his voice sounded different; it was hoarse, quiet, pathetic. Unfortunately, that just seemed to turn Mitch on.
"Oh really? That was a waste of your time," Mitch giggled and grabbed a fistful of Scott's shirt, yanking him closer. "Ooh, so skinny, skinny. Just like me," Mitch twitched and Scott closed his eyes. "Skinny, skinny." Scott just hummed in agreement.
"What would you like to do, Mitch?" Scott asked quietly, reopening his eyes to briefly glance down at the smaller human.
Mitch looked positively ecstatic. "I'm glad you asked! We can broadcast our happy, happy relationship to all those unhappy people." Scott tilted his head. Daylight did sound nice, especially since he was never going to see it again.
"Whatever you want, Mitch." Scott responded blandly. Mitch suddenly stepped away and clasped his hands together.
"Perfect! Get dressed in some pretty clothes." Mitch beamed and turned on his heels, fluttering away. Scott curled his lip and stalked into the bedroom. His eyes flickered over to his pillow and he smiled slyly.
No more hurting soon.
Mitch really did enjoy showcasing their relationship in public. Honestly, in Scott's opinion, it was somewhat sickening. It reminded him of those Harley Quinn and Joker fan fictions that were so popular a while back. Such an ugly, ugly relationship that looked so pretty, pretty on the outside. Disgusting.
