The Titans were the children of Gaia and Ouranos. There were twelve of them in total, six boys and six girls. They were- Coeus, Crius, Cronus (also called Kronos), Hyperion, Iapetus, Oceanus, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, Rhea, Theia, Themes and Thetys. From all of these, Cronus was the youngest but was the most cruel. He was convinced by his mother to kill Ouranos. After doing this, he became the King of the Titans and his sister Rhea became his wife. However, one thing worried Cronus. When he killed his father, Ouranos cursed him and said that one day his children would also kill him. And so, whenever he had a son or daughter, he would eat them. Like this, he ate five of his children. One day he and Rhea had another son, and by this time she was led up of him. So, she hid their new baby(they named him Zeus) and instead gave him a stone to eat. When Zeus grew up, he gave Cronus a special drink which made him throw up the gods and goddesses he ate. Later on Zeus freed the cyclopes and hundred handed ones from Tartarus. He, along with the other Gods and the cyclopes and hundred handed ones, then had a war with the Titans which they won. Zeus then killed and cut Kronos into bits, he threw these bits of Kronos into Tartarus.
