Chapter 3.

Y/N's POV.

Tears had already spilled over my eyes by this time, and

I wasn't sure to apologise or not for running into the person, but that was my first instinct.

"I'm so sorry."

"It's okay." I knew that persons voice. My head lifted itself up to get a better view of the person you covered me in cafeteria food.

"L-Luke?" My voiced creaked from the crying. Suddenly, I was embraced into his arms as he hugged me. He didn't even needed to say anything, the hug made me feel better already. All the worries washed away from my head. I actually enjoyed myself for a second.

"Take a deep breath. It's okay, are you okay? What happened?" Luke tried to soothe me. I didn't really want to say what it was, considering that one of the girls was his girlfriend.

"I'm fine." I lied.

"No you're not. You know you're not. Would you like to talk about it?" He was really trying to help right now. I appreciated it, but it just didn't seem right. We were neighbours, and not really friends, and he's got a girlfriend. 'Oh, come on Y/N, it's just a hug.' My body tensed up even more as I tried to stop that from happening.

Luke's hug got even tighter to comfort me, and I didn't even hear the noise around me, I didn't see anyone else except us. My arms began to wrap around him, as I hugged back. Feeling like this, shouldn't happen. I shook my head and let go of the hug and began to run towards the lady room.

My feet pounded heavily as I ran. Tears streamed down my face as my running sped up. Where was the goddamn bathroom? Honestly. I didn't even care. I was just running. Knowing I couldn't run away from school, I decided that the janitors closet was the closest thing I could get away without anyway knowing where I was. I would come out before the next period, but there's still a good 20/30 minutes left in lunch.

Closing the door behind me, I sat down and burst into tears. I thought things would get at least a little bit better by switching schools. Obviously, I was wrong. It got worse. Much worse.

The fumes started to get to me, and the darkness started to give me a headache. So, I decided it would be best to come out and go back to lunch. Right as I was about to open the door, it flew open and there stood Ashton with tears down his eyes.

"Hon, are you okay? I went looking everywhere for you! You weren't at once place so I searched another and that kept going on until I found you. Yay! I found you! Seriously, are you okay? You're crying, oh gosh, no. Please don't. You know I hate it when you cry. I was so worried about you. Luke is too. He went searching the other side of the school. Maybe I should say that I found you. But, I'm selfish, and I just want to hug you. You're my best friend and I love you, and it hurts me to see you hurt. And oh my gosh. Just tell me you're okay." Ash rambled on, and on, he stopped here and there to breathe, but other than that...

"Do you want me to lie or tell the truth? I'm 'okay' but not great. Luke went looking for me?" That really surprised me. Ashton and I were still standing in the doorframe of the closet, when I heard his voice coming near.

"Of course I went looking for you! You scared me to death. I thought I did something wrong, so if I did, I'm sorry. Please forgive me?" Luke was so out of breath, it wasn't even funny. "You know what? It's Friday night. Why don't you two come over to my house tonight? That sound alright?"

Ashton and I just looked at each other. Should we, should we not? We didn't know what to say.

"Sure mate. What time? Wait, don't you have a game tonight?" Ashton answered way more calmly than I would have.
