Sorry this took so long, but hey, an actual update!! I was going through really bad depression when I stopped writing this completely, and then I just became really busy when I wanted to start writing again. But, I am writing again, even if this is the shortest chapter in the history of short chapters. It's currently 11:19pm and I started writing this chapter at 10:39pm, so I hope it's okay. Enjoy!

Chapter 7.
Narrator's POV

Waking up to a crash, Y/N felt her body freeze. Was somebody in her house? Her arms started shaking at the thought. No, she's alone. Her mom was out of town and she knew Luke would have left long ago. So, the question is, why did she wake up to a loud crash if she was the only one in the house?

She slowly pushed herself off the couch she had fallen asleep on, pulled the blanket around her, and stepped into the kitchen. The sight startled her. Y/N happened to not be alone in her house. In fact, a very tall, attractive boy was in her home, and he wasn't just standing around; he was making breakfast. She smiled at him, even though he couldn't see her. He looked so concentrated in what he was doing, and it made her chuckle a bit at how much effort he was going through.

"I'm surprised that you're still here," she commented softly, making him jump a little.

He stopped what he was doing and turned around with a confused look on his face. "What do you mean?" he replied.

She felt embarrassed at this remark. Not only was his morning voice attractive as hell, but Y/N was slowly feeling her walls come down, but she wasn't ready to come clean about her entire story.

"I'm just not used to people staying, that's all," was what she left it at. He didn't bother pressing the matter, because he could sense that she wasn't ready to tell him.

Luke wondered about her everyday and every night. His mind would run 24/7 and generally, his thoughts were about her. He wanted to know her better, he wanted to put back the pieces of her broken shell. He wanted to be the one to make her smile. He would go to the end of the world for her.

"I, um, made you some breakfast," he scratched the back of his neck nervously. She appreciated the fact that he didn't dwell on her last comment.

"That was very kind of you, sir," she said with the most proper voice she could muster, and then laughed hysterically. He followed her lead and laughed along.

"Shall we?" he played along with a butler-type voice and held out his arm for her to hold onto and a place of pancakes and eggs in his other hand.

"We shall," she genuinely smiled, something she has not done in a while.

He liked to see her smile, it made him feel good inside. Her smile was as beautiful as her. It lit up her face, and he wished he could see it more often.

After sharing a plate of breakfast, which she reluctantly ate, Luke realized that he should probably go back home considering he had a project due the next day.

"I'm right next door if you need me, okay?" He asked concerned.

"I'm not a little kid, Luke," she replied annoyed.

"I know, I'm just worried." He smiled slightly before reaching for the door knob.

Just as he was about to leave, he turned back around and placed a small kiss on Y/N's cheek.

"I really care about you, Y/N. You've caught my eye since the first day of school, and I couldn't stop thinking about you ever since. You're like a puzzle with missing pieces, and I'm determined to find them and put you together. I understand that you feel broken, but I don't believe that you are. Anything broken can be put back together, and I hope to be the one to seal the pieces. Like I said, I'm right next door if you need me. See you later, that's a promise. And I never break my promises." With that, he turned the doorknob and left Y/N standing at her front door alone. Only, she didn't feel alone. She knew he'd be back. She wasn't afraid that he would leave.

About an hour later, Y/N's doorbell rang again. She quickly hopped out of the shower that was stinging her day old cuts and put on a sweatshirt and a pair of shorts.

"Who's there?" she yelled making her way down the stairwell.

She reached the door before the person on the other side could answer. Swinging the door open, Y/N was greeted by a dozen red roses blocking someone's face. Without actually seeing them, she knew who was standing right in front of her. Ashton.

Again, sorry this chapter is so short and took me so long to update. I have a really long day tomorrow and I kind of want to sleep but I knew that if I didn't update tonight, I wouldn't think about updating for a while.

QOTD: Which way do you prefer the chapters written? Narrator's POV or Y/N, Ashton, and Luke's POV??

I love you all so so much
