Notes to Natalie

Chapter 25

Natalie's POV

"How about this one?" I ask as I turn to face Emily and my mum.

"Not your color. Try this one." Says Em as she hands me a long, marroon dress with silver across the middle.

"Alright, be right back." I pick up the train of my current dress and drag myself back into the fitting room.

Dress shopping is never fun, let me tell you. Prom is only two weeks away, and I have no date at the moment. Emily got asked by three guys. She said yes to Luke Hemmings. A total hottie at our school.

I pulled up the long dress and zipped it up in the back. It was a pretty dress really, but was it the right one?

"Okay, I'm coming back out." I told them.

Before I knew it, sudden gasps came from both my mom and Em. I didn't know if they would good or bad, but by the looks on their faces, I knew they were good.

"Nat...that dress is perfect on you!" Emily had the brightest smile on her face.

"Sweetie..it really is perfect." my mom made me blush.

I spun around in the dress. My hair wasn't in the best shape today, but it looked good enough to know this dress was amazing.

My long, brunette curls lay perfectly against the strapless gown.

I glance down at the price tag, and my stomach makes a huge knot.

Ouch. I thought.

"Uh..maybe I should keep looking. This really isn't in our price range." Even I could here the sadness in my voice.

"Don't even think about it. We are getting you this dress!"

My phone buzzed as I sat on the edge of my bed, doing nothing.

Luke: we really need to talk. Be over soon.

I replied quickly-

You can't just come over to get me whenever you want.

There was a knock at my door.

Shit.

My mom answered it before I could. I expected to here Luke's voice, but instead I heard a different one.

I came down the stairs to see his gorgeous ocean blue eyes and priceless blond locks.

"Niall?" I said with a rush of joy.

"Hey..wanna talk outside?"

"Yeah! Let me just grab my shoes."

We stood outside together and watched the sun start to set.

"So, how have you been?" he asked me. Every time he talked my stomach did fifty flips.

"Real good..you?"

"..I-I came here to say goodbye."

Niall's POV

"I should be back with you guys within two days. Can't wait to see you all, bye."

I ended the call with Liam and put my phone on my bed. Wow, I was tired.

It was time to go back on my tour and stop being so childish. Why did I even leave in the first place? Oh right, Natalie.

I've always loved Natalie's house. Her parents were the sweetest, really. Every time you entered her house, the scent of lavender just came to you.

I barely even knocked and the door had openend.

"Niall! What a wonderful surprise! Please, come-" her mom got cut off by the girl who I had fallen in love with. The girl who was perfect in my eyes no matter what she thought. Natalie Parker.

"Niall?" she came down the stairs dressed in jeans and a white tshirt. Perfect, whatever she wore.

"Hey..wanna talk outside?"

"Yeah! Let me just grab my shoes."

We walked outside side by side until we reached her driveway. It was a little awkward I guess.

The way her eyes just wandered off amazed me. I wanted her to be mine, but my chances were over. I had lost them.

"So, how have you been?" Someone needed to break the silence.

"Real good..you?"

Tell her Niall. She can take the news, just tell her.

"..I-I came here to say goodbye."

She was happy for me, right? Or was she a total wreck just like I was..

"Oh. Thats..really good I'm really happy for you." When she talked fast she was lying.

"Natalie you don't understand. If you're upset about this..just wait until you know what I'm going through. I'm going back because I realized what I left for was useless." She was confused by my last words.

"Why did you leav-"

"I left to tell you something. I've tried so hard over these past weeks to get it out. I even tried to tell you before I left. But..every time I tried, something came up."

"Well what is it? You can tell me now." So that was it? She had no clue what was about to come her way?

"Oh, okay. Um.." I studdered.

"Niall? You okay? Could I tell you something?" I nodded. "Alright, well. You've been acting really strange these past weeks and it has gotten me really worried and when I found out that you left the tour I got even more worried and then we just kept having these short talks that never got to the point and-"

"Natalie Parker, I'm in love with you."
