It was a cool, cloudy evening in Jump City. It had been a pretty boring evening for the team of teens. Not a single crime in the past 3 days. Regardless the team was getting itchy to fight someone...well a villain, not each other.
The sun was just now setting, right at that time in the Titans Tower the alarm went off for a robbery. The team rushed into the living room area. They eagerly gathered in front of the huge computer that had various whereabouts of various locations, villains, and police scanners.
Robin was the first to reach the computer. He pulled up the familiar map of the city.
It showed a huge yet not a Gotham sized city. The computer had zoned in on a smaller building. It was a small jewellery store and a red dot was flashing on top of it."There's been a robbery at the jewelry store by the docks. The criminal's long gone by now." Robin said to the team. "We need to fan out and search for them"
"Alright! Finally a mission!" Beastboy exclaimed happily as he fist-pumped the air. Cyborg chuckled and left to start up the T car.
"Who is this villain you speak of, Robin?" Starfire asked curiously as she flew toward the concerned bird.
"I honestly dunno, Star" he replied and raked a hand through his hair,"I believe we will stop this villain, we have not failed our precious city!" Star giggled and Robin smiled.
"You're right about that. Now let's go find that criminal"
It took about 15 minutes for the team to get to the jewellery store. The police were scattered out trying to find the same robber as the Teens.
"Fan out. Look for clues and stay safe" Robin ordered as his team went inside the shop. The team investigated the store for at least an our and no one had caught so much of a glimpse at the thief. They were handling a major problem.
"Yo Robin," Cyborg said "Whoever was here they made one difficult path to follow""And?" Robin questioned as he walked to Cyborg
"I found how they got out...at least I think so" Cyborg said proudly and pointed to an air vent which the cover was taken off. It was small but the thief wasn't uncovered. It was their only lead.
"Nice work Cy!" Robin said with a grin "Now we split up and search for this criminal! Titans, GO!"
It was dark by the time Robin got to his location to start the search for the mysterious criminal. It had been at least 4 or 5 hours since they had split up. He was pretty exhausted and his team should be too.
Robin jumped from roof top to roof top looking for this hard to find villain. Hours passed and he hadn't found as much as a clue that lead to their target. Robin sighed as he looked at a near by clock, it read 11:45pm.
I guess we'd better call it a night, he thought we split up four hours ago. Robin reached for his communicator, right as he held it up something, or someone dashed in front of him and took his device."Hey!" Robin shouted as he chased after the unknown thief, who was just laughing at his pity.
The shadow ran on top of a business building and faced towards Robin with an insane grin. Robin could immediately know this thief was a teenage boy, no older than 14, only two years younger than Robin himself. The teen had red hair and dark paint covering their eyes for identity protection. He wore a black tattered cloth looking thing that reached his chest area, he wore a light dull green long sleeved shirt under the cloth, and wore baggy grey pants along with boots. One thing to note: the gun holsters that ran across the boys chest. Robin was carful to watch his hands in case they reached for one of the two guns.
(What the red head looks like^^^)
Robin took his fighting stance, already at a disadvantage point for being the low ground. "Just hand back what you stole and nobody gets hurt" Robin said to the teen"Awwww" the teen thief cooed "Bird Brain doesn't have his daddy Bat with him, what will he do?" the teen said and laughed to himself.
Robin felt his face burn with embarrassment but it quickly fled when he heard 'Bat'. Who was he? Robin knew he'd fought someone like this in Gotham but his mind was a blank.
Robin reached into his utility belt and grabbed his staff and spun it as he got his hands right onto it. "Quit stalling, hand over the things you took""hmm? oh this?" The teen said pretending to be confused as he held up Robins communicator along with many golden jewelry. "About all this, I never really wanted this but I'd do anything to catch your attention bird boy. But I thought you'd be smart enough to catch me by now, instead I had to reveal myself, it's pitiful for a so-called crime fighter like you" The teen said as his smirk widened and he let chuckles escape.
Robins eyes widened as the boy layed out all the stolen objects, it soon started a small pile of gold. The boy gave out a teasing sigh.
"Still don't remember me hmmm? how sad. I see you're dying for a hint" The teen reached into his pocket that held his weapons and threw one at Robin.
Robin caught the card the teen threw right as it grazed his cheek, making a small cut appear as well as blood. Robin looked up and saw that the boy had disappeared. He looked at the card. On one side it read Joker and a small illustration of what royal folk would call a Joker, the other side had very poorly written letters H's and A's all over the card. Robins eyes narrowed as he started heading back to the tower, this would take a lot of explaining.
Who was that guy?
(Let me know if something else should happen and I'll see how I can input your ideas. Hope you liked it!)
