"Now Eden," Lester cleared his throat. "Now is the time to ask any questions you may have."
"Does Trevor have-"
"Work related questions first." He interrupted.
"Right, sorry. Well, does the job get me somewhere to live?"
"Well, I used to have a more stable location. Had a comfy couch. Lots of privacy. We unfortunately lost the warehouse to a fire started from an unknown cause. So Trevor offered his couch. But I figured you would rather not live with a horny psychopath in his strip club. So I purchased a room for you at the Alesandro Hotel in Textile City. Shouldn't be too far to my house or to the strip club. No need to thank me, once you prove your worth to me and my team, I can work on getting you a better place. But for now, it will have to do. Any other questions?" I nodded no. "Alright. About Trevor."
"Tell me everything."
"There isn't time for everything. Don't ask about Brad. Don't ask about Merryweather. Or bikers, rednecks, or the Chinese. And avoid at all costs the conversation about his childhood. Don't ask about his father, mother, brother, the whole nine yards. Got it?"
"Yes." I answered as we pulled onto his street, crowded with double parked cars.
"If you know whats good for you, stay away from him. He has never been in an actual relationship, and I don't want to lose a promising new assistant because Trevor can't keep it in his pants."
"I don't see how it's possible with how persistent he is."
"You will muddle through. Anyway here is your room key. And thanks for the ride. I'll be in touch."
Lester exited the car and struggled up the stairs to his house.
Rather than going directly to the hotel, I drove around the to get to know the area. After a bit of exploring, I decided to head to where I would be staying. Only about 5 minutes until the hotel, I got a call. I checked the caller ID and it was an unknown number. I answered, "Hello?"
"Eden. What are you doing taking calls from unknown numbers?" The voice belonged to the one and only Trevor Philips.
"You never know, could be the cute guy I met earlier today."
"Hey. That wasn't bad, but I am supposed to do the flirting."
"You certainly didn't waste any time calling?"
"Yeah, I was wondering if I could see your pretty face tonight?"
I analyzed the situation. I had just arrived in LS not even 5 hours ago, and I'm already sexually attracted to a man I was told is bad news. All he wanted was a hook up probably. And I would like to keep it professional and impress Lester.
"That's sweet, Trevor. But I'm not interested in being another hook up to you. Thanks for the invite though." I tried to be as nice as possible.
"Eden A player? Is that what you take me for? No only am I offended, I am ashamed of myself for giving a promising young lady like yourself the wrong impression the first time we meet. We met at the wrong time, I suppose. Please let me try to show you what kind of guy I really am."
"Boys really don't take no for an answer."
"I mean, if that is how you really feel and if you aren't totally jealous of Juliet and any other possible sexual partners I may or may not currently have, I understand. I would like an opportunity to get to know you. And for you to get to know me."
I sighed. "I don't see a problem with us getting to know each other. For business purposes, of course."
"Really? I can't wait, doll face. Where are you staying?"
"Alesandro Hotel." I answered.
"Textile City? I'll pick you up around 7. Fuck that. 6. I want to see you as soon as possible." He growled sweetly. I never heard anyone growl sweetly before and never knew it was possible.
I pulled into the parking lot of the Alesandro hotel. "Okay, Trevor. I'll see you at 6."
I hung up and entered my living space in Los Santos.
