Evander and Vince were monitoring the arrival of the drug cargo, monitoring the cargo is crucial. Salvatore rarely sent a rookie to monitor, it was always Vince or Evander or both, if anything were to happen to the cargo in the hands of the rookie it wouldn't really go well for business and of course, the rookie. Evander took a package and put a slit in it, he put his finger in the white powder and tasted it, this was the way to see if it was good quality which it was. Evander then continued seeing his men pack the cargo in trucks that had the family restaurant logo on it with supplies for the restaurant as a cover. As Evander looked over the job his mind drifted to Sienna, he started wondering what she was doing right now at 2:35 a.m, probably sleeping. Evander knew he wanted to see her again soon, he decided tomorrow was the day he would call her for a second date. Vince noticed that his brother was doing what he does when he's distracted, he stares at anything.
"You have that face again," Vince said to his little brother, Evander quickly snapped out of it and looked at his brother with a smirk on his face. Everytime Evander thought about Sienna he would feel butterflies in his stomach, something that no one had ever gave him. Evander was known to be a tough guy, so he always tried to hide his evidence that a girl finally caught his heart. Vince, as his older brother, always could see the face ever since Evander went on the date with Sienna.
"What are you talking about? I'm just overlooking the crew," Evander said innocently. Vince didn't believe him for a second, and sort of laughed.
"You look like me when I first met Gabrielle, and look where I am now, married and expecting a baby," Vince said with happiness in his tone of voice. Vince absolutely coudn't wait to see his baby, he finally was going to be a father, something that he had wanted for a while especially with Gabrielle as the mother of his children. There was a sense of invincibility in Vince, he had a beautiful wife, a baby on the way, and a strong family, what else could a guy ask for?
"Relax Vince, it's only been one day, oh hey speaking of Gaby, is she okay, she seems to be very quiet or out of it lately, are you guys fighting or something?" Evander asked. He had noticed that something wasn't right about Gabrielle, lately it seemed like something very heavy was weighing on her mind. He didn't want to get involved in his brother's relationship with his wife but something just wasn't right.
"None of that, we're on great terms as of late, it's probably those damn hormones girls get," Vince said with a giggle. Evander saw that a sense of worry hit his brother which made him regret even mentioning anything to him. He hoped that his brother wasn't lying and that they were actually on good terms.
After a successful cargo trip, Vince and Evander drove back home rather late at 4 in the morning. Once the brothers got back home, they went thier separate ways. Evander went to his room and got into his pajama pants and automatically went to sleep. Vince went to his room and saw a sleeping Gabrielle, he wasn't going to lie to himself, his brother's words did actually get to him. The last thing that he wants is to have his wife worry while carrying their child it's not safe for the both of them, he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and went to change for bed.
The morning light was hitting Gabrielle's face, she opened her eyes and saw that her husband was out of bed as usual. Her thoughts quickly went to the talk her and Salvatore had last night. Salvatore just wanted to show her the message stating that the baby she's carrying might not be Vince's, Salvatore made nothing of it, filthy rumors have affected the family before, but he did give her a warning and sort of time to come clean, which she didn't, she wasn't ready to put doubt in the de Luca family. Gabrielle then knew what she had to do, get a DNA test as soon as the baby is born, if it's indeed Vince's then she would be relieved but if it's the man she slept with that night, she needs to know. Gabrielle made plans to flee from the De Luca's house with her baby, she wasn't going to stick around to see her consequence of cheating on Vince, surely she would figure something out on her own, but that's worst case scenario. For now.
