The light April midnight breeze was hitting Evander's skin on the balcony, it felt nice but there was still a hint of the Winter cold. It had been a week since the Governor's Ball, Evander hadn't felt a week go by this slow since he was eighteen and was awaiting for his license to come in the mail. Since the Vanessa incident, Evander still had mixed emotions about Sienna. He practically spilled his heart out to her and told her the ultimate family secret on the first date, something about Sienna made Evander feel a certain way, usually he'd just want dinner to be over with and head back to this place but with Sienna that wasn't the case, he actually abided with the "Sex on the third date" rule. Even though he felt all of this, did she not? Why couldn't she just come clean and tell him the truth about her past? Why did he have to hear it from some girl fresh off the Staten Island Ferry? He used to feel comfort with Sienna, after all he did cry like a baby in her arms after he put a bullet in a guy's head, something that he never showed anyone. Evander was overlooking the cargo being put in the truck to be sent to the factory, Vince couldn't make it today, but it was a relief, Evander needed time to think about everything. Evander then started feeling his phone vibrate, it was a text from Sienna.
"Good night, I really miss you and I really want to talk to you, Go be a badass, but be a careful badass please."
Evander couldn't help but smile, even though he had been ignoring Sienna's calls and texts, she still sent her "be careful" texts she would send when she knew he was on a family business job. Right then and now, Evander knew he needed to be the man his father taught him to be, and decided all of this was just going to lead to nothing.
"I always am. I want to talk."
Something about Sienna made him lose all of his macho qualities, but he is not whipped, Evander de Luca will never be whipped! He couldn't help but look to the sky, it didn't have too many stars but the moon was full and bright, he then wondered what Sienna was doing up this late.
Across town, Sienna was laying in her couch, while Maryann was asleep on the floor. What started off as a reality television marathon night for both girls, ended up being a wine fest and Maryann falling fast asleep. Sienna sipped her wine and saw Evander's text, all of a sudden she felt butterflies in her stomach, he finally had answered. It wasn't much but at least he wasn't as mad as he was the night of the Governor's Ball. Sienna couldn't really blame Vanessa for what she did, after all Sienna abandoned her in Staten Island, and deep down she never forgave herself for doing that to her best friend. Clearly, Vanessa is holding a grudge with all the right in the world, this only meant to Sienna that she had to be more careful now, no one is safe.
Sienna then stood up and picked up her wine glass and went towards her window, that overlooked Manhattan. She then started thinking about her past, how could she explain it to Evander, when she couldn't really understand it herself? Her parents disappeared when she was only thirteen, she lived the majority of her teenage life with her aunt, her parents never really were in Sienna's life, the last she heard they were in Italy. The worst part was explaining her dark past while living in Staten Island, being Carter's girl, and of course having the nickname "Marie Antoinette." Some how she was going to have to tell Evander, before Vanessa or Caleb hand delivered anymore of her skeletons from her very overfilled closet, that Vanessa has the key to.
Speaking of the Devil, literally, Vanessa was in her lavish hotel suite, doing the final touches on invitations. As she licked one of the pink envelopes, Caleb walked out shirtless to see what she was doing.
"I woke up and you were gone," Caleb said as he poured himself a Whiskey on ice
"Get used to it, remember Caleb it's just casual sex" Vanessa said as she folded the flap on the envelope
