Ely and I stepped out of the bus together. I was trailing behind him. I recieved some cold stares from a group of girls sitting on the bleachers. I just gave them a questioning look in return. Why do they look at me like that? Was it because I am walking with a good looking guy? Is Ely a popular athelete or something?
Ely and I walked inside Mrs. Wyler's office. The woman was busy opening her file cabinet.
"Good morning, Mrs. Wyler!" Ely greeted. Mrs. Wyler turned around. When she spotted us, she smiled.
"Good morning, Cross. Who is she?"
"Oh, this is Julie Ackers. She's a new student here. She just move here from South Dakota."
"Is that so? Welcome, Julie. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Theresa Wyler. I'm going to fix your schedule now." She started typing in her computer. The printer beeped. She got up and grabbed the paper before she handed it to me. It was my schedule.
"Thank you, Mrs. Wyler!" Ely and I said at the same time.
"You're welcome. Hurry now, kids. You don't want to be late on your first day, Julie!"

My first period was Math. When I stepped inside the room, everyone was staring at me with disgust plastered on their faces. As I was walking towards the empty desk at the back of the classroom, the room was filled with whispers. I was five minutes late but luckily, the teacher didn't arrived yet.
"Oh my god. What is she wearing?" A girl with a golden blond hair pointed out.
"I know right." Another girl said.
I just ignored their rude comments. I took a seat next to a guy whose face was buried in between an opened encyclopedia.
"Ignore them." The guy said, making me jump an inch high. He closed his book and looked at me. He was a cute but his facial features wasn't random looking. His hair was jet black and he's wearing eyeglasse, too.
"They're just insecure blonde assholes." He said. "What's your name?"
"Julie. Julie Ackers." I replied.
"Well Julie, it's nice to meet you. My name is Tyler Summers, but you can call me Tye." He introduced himself.
"Awe, how cute. Two of the society's rejects, making a chemistry." A tall jock teased and everyone cracked up.
"Dude, leave them alone. They didn't do anything to you." A brunette guy suddenly appeared from nowhere. The jock rolled his eyes and went back to his desk.
"I'm sorry about Nick, he's such a jerk." The unkwown guy apologized.
"By the way, I'm Mason Evans. The son of the Guidance Counselor." Well, that explains it.
"Thanks Mason." I smiled.
"Anytime, Ackers." Mason winked before he walked back to his seat.
"How did he knew my name?" I asked Tye.
"He's Mason freaking Evans. Of course, he knows everybody." Tye replied with a shrug.

I was carrying my taco inside a Ziploc bag. The cafetria was crowded, making me fell sick. I was looking around trying to find a seat but it seems that there were no more vacancy. So, I just decided to stick with the usual. I'm going to eat my lunch inside the girl's restroom. All of a sudden, someone tapped my shoulder, when I turned around, it was Mason.
"Where are you going? You're not going to skip lunch are you?" He asked while holding a tray with his lunch on it.
"Of course not."
"Wait, don't tell me you're going to eat your lunch at the restroom?!"
"It's not like I have a choice." I snapped.
"Everybody's got a choice. Come on, we still have a vacant seat in our table." He wiggled his eyebrows.
I walk towards their table and took a seat next to Mason. Tye was also sitting there along with Nick. Ugh, that douche!
"I didn't know that Nick is your friend." I stated.
"Oh, he's not. I forced him to sit with us after what happened." Mason replied. We started to talk about random stuff. This people are friendly and funny. Tye have some pretty good jokes too.
Suddenly, we were cut off by a sweet voice. When I looked up, there was a pretty girl standing awkwardly behind Mason. She have gray eyes and platinum blond hair.
"Can I sit with you, guys?" She asked, sounding really nervous. I glanced at Mason's direction, he was slowly shaking his head no so the girl wouldn't notice.
"Sure." It was Tye who replied.
"Thanks!" The girl happily took a seat. I gave Mason a playful bump on his belly.
"Do something!" Mason whispered to me.
"What do you want me to do?" I asked.
"Anything! Just make her leave."
"I'm not going to do that!" I hesitated before I scooted away from Mason.
"Tyler Summers, you need to report to Mrs. Hart's office, now!" The voiced from the speaker called out.
"What does she want now?! I'll see you later, Julie." Tyler said before he walked away.
"I really appreciate it guys. Thank you. You know, if those bitches didn't kicked me out of their clique, I wouldn't intrude you." She started.
"It's Mia Parker, right?" Mason asked, looking annoyed.
"Yes."
"Well, Mia. I just want you to know that nobody likes you. Please, go home and kill yourself. You are not welcome to seat with us."
"Look Mason, if this is about that hook-up we had last year, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to ruin your relationship with Teala. Plus, we were both wasted!" Mia defended.
"That's it! I'm leaving, I couldn't take this drama anymore!" Nick barked before he sprinted away.
"Me too." I muttered.

My last period was Chemistry. I was peacefully walking down the hall, zoning out from the real world. I just found out that Ely was in a clique, he was popular. Like Austin, he said that he doesn't want to be seen with me so he had to cancel that supposedly date on Friday night. On the other side of the story, I haven't seen River today. Maybe he doesn't go here. I was cut off from my reverie when I stumbled on my feet, colliding with someone.
"Sorry." We both apologized at the same time. When I looked up, I was instantly frozen from my spot.
"Speak of the devil." I grumbled.
"Julie?" River looked surprised.
"Hi, River." I awkwardly responded.
"So, which class are you heading to?" He asked.
"Chemistry, my favorite subject. What about you?" I replied.
"We're in the same class." He smirked.
