We arrived at our new house. The walls were painted with two colors, brown and peach. It was a two story house with three bed rooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a decent looking lounge and a huge balcony. The color of the fence was creamy yellow. We also have a really friendly neighbor.

We entered the house. I walked towards my new room and I was glad that he walls were painted in navy blue, my favorite color. The were a couple of huge purple curtains hanging in each window. My window was facing the neighbor's bedroom window. It was definitely a guy's bedroom, judging by the band posters and a dozen of football throphies hanging on the walls.

I have a deflated mattress as a bed? Unbelievable! After I finished unpacking stuff, I headed downstairs walked towards the kitchen.

"Julie, are you done unpacking?" Mom asked. She was busy baking some cookies. Yes, my favorite!

"Cookies!" I squealed like a five year old girl. Mom just laughed.

"You're hilarious." She pointed out in between series of laughter.

"No I'm not. I'm just a little funny, I guess. My jokes sucks!" I blurted out.

"Whatever you say."

I was about to leave the kitchen when Mom gripped my arm, "Julie, wait a second. Can you please do me a favor?"

"I think so?" I replied, unsure.

"Here, take this." She handed me a box of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. I raised my brow in a manner of question. "Please, give it to our new neighbor." She added.

"Which one? The house on the left or on the right?" I asked.

"Right."

She went to the garden and left me alone in the kitchen. It was my cue to leave the house and pay our new neighbor a quick visit. Maybe add a little introduction.

I was standing in front of the neighbors house. Without hesistations, I quickly knocked on the door. After three knocks, the door finally opened, revealing a cute guy with blond hair and ocean blue eyes. All of a sudden, I couldn't move. I was in the state of shock. Okay, it was dramatic and highly exagerrated. You couldn't blame me, he is by far the cutest guy I've ever seen in my life.

"Can I help you?" He asked, looking curious.

"I-uh...I-I." I stuttered. He offered me a comforting smile, showing his cute dimples.

"Well, my mom wants to give you this cookies she baked. I'm your new neighbor, by the way. We just moved here from South Dakota." I awkwardly said before I handed him the box of cookies.

"Thank you. My mom bakes too. To be honest, I was actually on my way to your house. She wants me to give you this." He handed me a pink box with a blue ribbon on it.

"What's this?" I asked.

"Those are nutella fudge. I told you, my mom loves to bake."

"We've been talking for a while now and I don't even know your name. What's your name, sweet cheeks?" He said with a wide grin on his face. My face was flushed. Nobody has ever given me a nickname before. Well, freak and weirdo isn't included.

"The name's Julie Ackers. And you are?"

"Ely Cross." He instantly replied.

"Look, it is really nice meeting you but I gotta go. See you later." I smiled.

"Well, nice meeting you too, Julie." He said with a smug expression.
