I buried my face under the pillow. Suddenly, a voice called out, "Wake up!" He said. I knew it was Austin so I responded rudely.

"Fuck off! Get out of my room unless you want your balls to be kicked." I mumbled with my eyes closed.

"Juliet Alexandria Ackers!" He shouted. Hold on, it doesn't sound like Austin. Not even a little bit. Shit! Please tell me it isn't who I think it is. I slowly opened my eyes and came face to face with Dad. Kill me now!

"Good morning, Dad" I chuckled nervously.

"You are grounded!"

My new school is Talons High, home of the Devils. I was hoping that I would have a good first impression on my first day of school. Austin made this stupid rule that I shouldn't talk to him at school. He said that he has a reputation to not be seen with a girl wearing an old pair of sneakers, a plaid maxi skirt and a pair of glasses. And that girl is me. As a result, he doesn't give me a ride to school.

I don't have a choice, so I waited for the school bus. When the school bus pulled up in front of me, I quickly got in. I looked around trying to find a seat.

"Julie! Over here!" I heard a familiar voice said. When I turned around, I saw Ely. He was smiling brightly. I quickly took a seat next to him.

"Ely! How are you?" I asked.

"Fine. You?"

"I've seen better days. You look nice today." I complimented.

"Thanks. I wish I could say the same but I have no idea in what category your outfit belongs to." Ely replied, shrugging.
