Chapter 5:

Evans *POV*

(Evans dream, chapter 6 in I Have to Find Her)

While I went through the line, some man showed up just as everyone ran up to him. The crowd circled around him. Everyone was talking at once. He didn't even look all that happy to be there. It hardly seemed like seconds went by as he shouted at everyone.

It scared me.

I inched closer to the middle where he was standing. Everyone was still trying to get answers from him. When I reached him, he spun around to meet me eye to eye.

"And you, you were the so called fan that just loves me! I bet you want to ask multiple questions too! Well don't! I just want to be left alone! I don't need any of you!" His words were like venom. It broke me. I didn't know what to do.

Automatically my hand went up to my necklace. I opened the clasp and clutched the heart. I look at it once than at the man standing in front of me.

"If you don't want fan then I guess I don't need you." A couple tears ran down my cheeks, onto the floor. "Here, you can do whatever you want with it. I guess I don't need it anymore."

I pushed past the crowd and ran towards the exit. Not daring to look back.
------------------------------

I awoke from the dream, confused. Who was the guy yelling at me? It kinda felt like a memory, it was so real.

The door opened slightly, revealing Paul.

"Oh, you're awake," he was taken back, almost dropping the tray that he was holding.

"Yeah, I'm awake," I said looking at the bed spread.

"What's wrong?" He asks, sitting down on the bed.

"Nothing, don't worry about it."

"I am going to worry about it. Now what's wrong?"

"I just had a dream that seemed so real," I look in his eyes, feeling nothing.

"Well, tell me what the dream was and I can tell you if it was real or not."

As I told him my dream, I could tell that it was real without him telling me. His face told it all.

His face paled and his eyes got darker.

"So it was real."

"No it wasn't," he said a little to quickly.

"Don't lie to me. Your face told it all. You really should learn to control your face expressions."

"Okay, fine! It was real. You went to Street League and met Ryan Sheckler. It didn't end well though. He quit skating. It was a big mess," the way he said that was smooth. Like it was so easy to say.

I didn't know what to say.

Was I the cause of someone quiting what they love?

That doesn't seem right.

I need to dig a little further into Ryan's story.
