Chapter 12: They Need to Know

Ryan's *POV*

I'm so done with Italy. I'm glad I get to go home tomorrow.

I was starting to get a little home sick. I need to see my family and skate on home territory.

I'll figure out what P-Rod is trying to hide, but not now. He now thinks I have some thing over him, but honestly I don't.

I only know that he said her and he really wanted to take it back, so it must have something to do with me.

Once I'm back home, I'll try my best to forget about Evans. It's like my mother said, 'Don't let things keep you back. You have to let go once and awhile.'

I'm ready now.

Evans *POV*

After I told Gretchen everything that had happened to me for the last couple months, she didn't know what to say.

She just stared at me with no expression.

After a minute or so, she finally said something.

"We need to tell the police. They can arrest Paul for lying and kidnap," she says, with a frown

"That's a little far. It's not like he hurt me or anything. He made sure I was feeling alright and let me live in a really nice house," thinking back to the months I was in Italy.

"Still, what he did to your parents wasn't right."

"Wait, are my parents alive?"

"Yes dear. They're healthy, but are still mourning over your death. Wait you're alive, we need to tell them," she said with an unknown tone.

"That's what I was thinking."

"That settles it. We're going to see your parents and brother."

"I have a brother?" I look at Gretchen with wide eyes.

"Wow you really can't remember, can you?"

"Not really, somethings are starting to come back to me."

"That's good. We'll there's no point in sitting here, daylight isn't getting any brighter." She exits the room, heading down stairs, and into the garage.
-----------------------------------

The drive is anything but fun. There is no talk, just the faint sound of the radio.

I'm almost nervous to see my parents. I don't know how they will react.

The only thing I can do is wait and ponder how things will go.
----------------------------------

"Evans, wake up. We're finally here," Gretchen shakes me awake.

I rubbed the sleep from my eyes, noticing it's dark already.

"What time is it?" I ask, looking at the house in front of us.

"Three in the morning."

"What?! Why don't we just come back when there's actual sun in the sky?

"Situations like this can't wait. They need to know."

"Okay. I'm ready."

We both get out of the car, heading for the front door.

We give each other glances, before I ring the door bell.

After a couple seconds a dim light comes on. The door slowly opens, making my stomach twist in knots.

There on the other side, was a worn looking man.

At first he didn't react, then it hit him at once.

"Evans?"

Yeah sorry, I'm gonna leave it at a cliff hanger.

I'm trying to publish as many chapters as I can, without drawing it out too much.

Hope you liked it. Thanks for reading!
