"Well, it's almost dark out." Billy said, getting up from the pile of rubble, she was looking for any armor or weapons of any kind. "You don't have armor on, don't you?" Billy asked while I shook my head. She handed me a Red Bow. "Really?..." I said, a little embarrassed.

"Hey it gives you more DEF. You need it, a lot..." She said while I put it on. "I hate my life..." I commented while she continued on. "Well we're at the high school." She said as she entered a 3 story building. "High school?" I asked.

"Yup, Windy Hills Academy. Now it's a very abandon place that people sometimes explore to see if others are here to steal their items." She said while entered. I went inside with her and took out my pocket knife. "How are my stats now?" I asked. "I'm LV 2."

"Still low, 8 ATK and 7 DEF..." She said while looking around. I sighed, I was pretty weak honestly. I just don't get how strong people are here, that they had to come up with stats like that. "Well in the real world you'd be a lot stronger than the average person, just to let you know. So it's honestly understandable why you're so low right now..." She reassured as we went up the stairs.

I gave a small smile and continued onward with her.

At the corner of my eye I spotted someone, I stopped and saw it was another girl. She came closer and she had a wrench in hand and was wearing a grey scarf. "Give me all your stuff... Now..." She said with a forceful tone.

I took a step back and got my pocket knife out. "Holy shi-... You have really low stats..." She commented while I decided to check hers.

"What's going on here?" Billy said as she came down from the stairs. She gasped when she saw I was in a battle. "Step down, flee! You have no chance!... Do you know who that is?!" She said as she grabbed my shirt and ran away, we were still being chased, so I decided to use my own feet.

"Who is that?!" I asked her.

"She used to be my really close friend in the day... She's the sister of the leader of the rebels. She's usually a lot stronger but we must've caught her in her weak state..." She said as we hid inside a classroom. We looked out and she was still looking for us.

She entered the room, and then spotted us. She remained silent. "Even though it's a illegal, I'm sparing you..." She said as we got up from our hiding spot. "Do you accept my mercy? Or do I have to murder you for what little EXP you'll give out?"

*Fight *Mercy

... I had two buttons appear in front of me, labeled Fight, and Mercy. I thought about it and pushed the Mercy button.

"Good. Now, I've never seen you here before..." She said, looking at me. "Well first off, why didn't you... Ya know, kill us?" I asked her.

"Do you want me to kill you?"
"No."
"Then don't worry about it..." She said. "Nice to see you again Billy."
"Nice to see you too, Glitch..."

"You can't be walking about here that weak, come with me, I'll show you a good spot to gain levels." She said, guiding us away from the school. "Honestly we made a myth that resources appear here every so often, just so rebels like us could kill those who enter and we gain levels, so we could match up against the Cobras."

"How powerful are they, exactly?" Billy questioned. "I've only encountered a handful. They just seemed like training Cobras too."

"Well, depends on their location." She explained. "They're a lot weaker here in Windy Hills. Queen Luna sends the stronger ones to where she lives."

"Which is?" I commented.

"She lives over in Yandere City, we would pay her visit but it's blocked off by tons of guards. None of us are currently strong enough to handle that much guards. My brother isn't strong enough to fight them all either."

"Well, where's your brother at?" I asked.

"Fire city, all the rebels meet up there. But before I explain the rebels let me explain what the difference between rebels and normies like Billy are."

"Hey!"

"Rebels are people who wish to overthrow the queen, and gain as much LV as they can for the actual rebellion. Normies are people who don't believe in the Kill part of Kill or Be Killed. Or people who simply are too afraid to fight against the queen and her royal army."

"It sounds scary..." I said, honestly, "but I'll be willing to join the rebels."

"You're not strong enough, but... With some training we might consider you..." Glitch said while squinting he eyes. "There's your first victim." She whispered, pointing to a guy.

"Kill him... He looks easy." I heard in my head. I nodded and took a step forward, I got my pocket knife out. "That won't do anything..." Glitch stated. "Here, take this..."

I was given a kitchen knife, it had dry blood on it. "It's not much but your stats are stronger now... Also, you could check it whenever you like..." She said.

"How?" I asked, until I somehow opened a menu.

I saw a Stats button and pushed on it.

I nodded and headed to the guy. I snuck up on him and stabbed his back. He gave a painful groan and fell on the ground.

I saw pop up. I smiled as I looked at my stats, I've increased a bit.

*22 ATK 10 DEF

"Nice job." Glitch said as she came to my direction. "And you didn't have to engage in a battle."

I looked back at the guy, and before I knew it he turned into dust. Only leaving a heart shaped glowing thing. "W-What's going on with him?!" I asked.

"Oh, he died. That's all." Billy said as the heart shattered, leaving nothing at all. "That heart thing you saw was his soul, usually people could absorb souls and gain strength." Glitch explained.

"I knew that but... Why do they turn to dust?" I asked.

"Just the way it is."

"Let's move on, we have a long road ahead of us." Glitch said as she began to walk to some street. Billy and I followed behind her.

I looked to the forest and saw something lurking, they quickly popped back into the forest after I spotted them... I felt really uncomfortable. "Um... Do these cobra people keep an eye on everyone?..." I asked the girls.

"I honestly don't know, why?" Glitch responded.

"No reason..."
