What if I read you a story, starting; "Once upon a time" and you realise it was your life spilt out on every line. Would you hear my voice with wonder, as it brushed across each word? And pray my arms had strength to hold, the truth about your world. Would your view on life be different and would it shock you to find, that the things you thought defined you, could be summed in just one line? And all the ones you took for granted... The ins and outs of every day, play a bigger part in who you are, than you'd ever dared to say? Would you wonder at the pages left? And all the places that they'll lead. Then vow to make each moment, one that you'd be proud to read. Because there is a story of your life, but it's you that holds the pen. And I hope you fill the pages right, until you reach the end...

Most people expect a story to begin at a particular moment in time- Perhaps when someone was born, or when two people meet for the first time, or even when the sun rises from the horizon and shines radiantly over the entire earth.
Most people also expect stories to end at a particular moment in time- when someone dies... when two people finally fall in love, or when the sun finally sets over the ocean in an array of beautiful colours.
What most people don't know, is that stories neither begin nor end.
If I start a story, saying once upon a time, you have to realise that there was a time before that. And when I say, The end, there will be a time after that.
One might wonder why, if there was a time before and there will be a time after, does the writer telling the story not say it?
The answer is simple:
Some things are better left unsaid.
