It made my blood boil seeing his face again. Lying to everyone about the prison he's trapped them in. Now I know why I had such a suspicious feeling when I first saw the Director.
The Rangers push open the glass doors and pull me through, making my arms red from their tight grip. The Director just sits at his desk looking over paperwork, as if no one just came in.
"We found her." His head rises and I try to avoid looking at the despicable person before me.
"No boy? Hmm, we'll find him soon enough. You may go, but leave the girl." My arms fall to my sides and I automatically rub the red area where they held my arms.
"Now tell me Dove. Where is the boy." His threatening tone makes me jump.
"I'm not saying anything." I cross my arms as I take my seat in the chair in front of his desk.
"So he survived! Incredible!" His hands clap together and he releases an evil laugh while leaning back in his chair. What's so 'incredible'?
"Why are you doing this to people?"
"Well because, I'm going to make everyone better." He says simply, as if it's no big deal.
"By erasing people's lives and killing them when the 'gifts' you give don't work out right? I don't think that's anywhere near better." The evil smile he has on his face melts away and seriousness replaces it.
"Now listen here, I don't care what you think. I am going to rule the world and all the mutants I put in it, and there is nothing you can ever do to come near stopping me." The ice in his glare stabs right though my confidence and makes me realize what he is truly after.
He wants power. Power over everyone.
"Now that your back, we will have to finish the...operation we missed out on when you pleasantly left." His determined words make me want to strangle him. As if he thinks he finally has me.
Well he kinda does, but I can get out of this.
Right?
He brings his lips to his wrist and talks into it. Wait, what? Two Rangers come bursting in and grab my arms again, dragging me out of the Directors office. As we get closer and closer to the hospital entrance I start to panic.
The doors open and after the short walk to what I'm guessing is the operation room I am practically thrown on the table. A doctor comes in with what looks like a scientist in a lab coat and they strap my arms and legs to the table. The doctor cleans a spot on my skin with some kind of alcohol wipe to clean the area.
What are they doing to me? I need to get out!
Its too late now. You know what they are going to do, you'll just have to escape after.
Voice help me out of this! What should I do?!
"What did the Director say he wanted her to be tested with?" It takes the scientist a moment to answer, as if he knows he will regret saying it afterward.
"The Extra." The doctor takes in a deep breath and I can see uncomfortableness and doubt full on in his eyes.
He fills a needle full with a bright red liquid and starts walking toward me. I panic and flop all over the place, trying to get away. This can't be happening. The Rangers run over and hold me down as the doctor gets closer and closer. I hear mumbling coming towards the door, and soon enough it opens. An older gentleman, probably in his 40's peeks his head through. I recognize him, but don't know who exactly he is. His blonde hair has streaks of grey and small wrinkles are starting to form on his face. His eyes grow with worry as he stares at me.
"I-Is that my da-" I don't hear the rest because the needle plunges into the arm and the sizzling liquid flowing through my body makes everything go black.

River's P.O.V
Ugh, that little prick. This is all his fault. If he wasn't here I wouldn't have to had punched him for looking at MY girl the way he did. Then she wouldn't have run away.
He's ruining everything. I love Aaliyah and he is keeping her from remembering all we had. I can see the way she looks at him and it makes my heart shatter.
She looks at him the way she used to look at me.
That was before she was taken. I swear, when I find the person behind all of this I'm going to kill them.
But first I need to find Aaliyah.
"Illia, have you seen Aaliyah?" She shakes her fragile head and continues to make her snow angel in the fallen snow.
"How about Willow?"
"Hunting over dere." She points her finger in the direction she saw him go.
I hurry into the forest, my pants getting soaked in the snow. I feel like a popsicle.
"Willow, have you see Aaliyah?" I ask him once I find him looking for squirrels.
"Yea, she was headed toward the jungle." My heart drops.
The Haven is in the jungle.
I sprint to the jungle and search the entire perimeter, but she is nowhere. She couldn't have gone back. No, I won't believe it. Why would she?
She's in trouble.
The voice never lies, but for the first time, I pray it is. Please, Aaliyah, don't be hurt. I will save her, ill do anything to save her.
I love her, and that will never change.
