~Three months later~

His army is getting stronger. All the people in the Haven are being 'gifted' as we speak. The Blaze is too intensely guarded for us to spy inside.

I pace back and forth in the abandoned hotel, contemplating my next move. The Director has already abducted at least half of the population strong enough to fight. I've seen some of the people he has, the ones that have been shifted in the mind conversion. They aren't really people anymore.

I call them drones, his minions, they do whatever he wants without hesitation. Any emotions or memories they have are obliterated and replaced by the desire to do everything the Director says.

As for us, we are constantly on the move. Somehow, they keep finding us no matter where we hide.

"Aaliyah," I turn around to see River standing in the door way, "you need to hear this."

I follow him down the hall and he folds his hand with mine. I haven't completely given in to River. I still love Raven, and even though the chance is small, I still have hope he isn't a drone.

"Ali, honey, I should've told you this sooner. Way sooner, but I honestly was afraid to." My father says once I walk into his room.

Everyone is in here, Willow, Rose, Illia, everyone. This must be important.

"I know why the drones keep finding us so easily." I stare at him in shock. He's known all along and hasn't said anything?!

"Everyone who enters the Haven has a chip. Its the memory chip that blocks all your previous memories. Unfortunatly it is also a tracker. I didn't want to tell you because I knew you would want me to remove them and the surgery is very difficult."

I sit down on the bed and absorb all the information he is telling me. If what is blocking my memories is a chip and he can remove it, all my memories will come back. I will remember everything I had with River.

"I'm not completely sure, but I also believe they are just altering the chips to create the drones."

I look over to Rose. She's sitting on the small couch with Illia beside her. Her arms are crossed and she looks like she is deep in concentration. Glancing up at me, she smiles then stands to face my father.

"I'll do it."

"No, no I won't risk hurting any of you. In order to practice the surgery, I need a drone."

UNKNOWN POV:

~

Everything is red. All I see is that intimidating color I've grown accustomed to. His words are all I hear. He says "jump" I ask "how high?"

We've been tracking a girl for about three months now. Master has a interest in her, thinks she is fascinating because of how determined she is to stop him. He won't admit it, but ts easy to see he is starting to worry. The girl is starting to become dangerous. That's when I come in.

My mission is simple. Kill the girl and all who stand at her side. We've located her twenty miles south of the last place they made camp. the abandoned hotel there hiding in like sitting ducks will make the execution easy. Finish mission. That's all I care about.

I sling my M16 over my shoulder and turn on my tracker. Using my finger, I touch the back of my neck and my eyes light up in a neon blue.

I am 52 Raven, the executioner.
