I arrive at the studio and I'm crying

my eyes out. All I can think about was

how Tommy hurt me like that. How

could he beat and rape me? What

have I ever done to him , but love

and respect him?

(Someone walks up to Mariah , but

she's too busy in her own thoughts to

recognize the person.)

Stranger: Hey

Mariah:Oh shit!! Sorry! H-Hi my

name is Mariah (trying to cover up

the fact that she is sobbing)

Stranger: (with a warming smile on

face) I know. My name is Nick Cannon

May I ask why such a beautiful and

talented lady is crying?

Mariah: (looking towards the floor

trying to keep from bursting into

tears) M-my husband hasn't really

been himself lately.

Nick: Hasn't been himself? I know we

have just met , but you can talk to me

about anything.

Mariah: Thank you very much , but

uhm he has been drinking a lot lately.

I dont know how much more I can

take.

Nick: (senses there is more to the

story that she is telling.) I can sense

there is a lot more to the story than

you're telling me. And if you let me I

can help you with whatever you're

going through.

Mariah:(hugs nick and cries)

Sometimes he can be a bit abusive

and I forgive him everytime. He has

raped, beaten me, and locked me in

basements. At this point I dont know

what to do.

Nick: We should take you a doctor

and maybe come to my house for

a few days just to recover.

Mariah: (she says with a smile) I'd

feel safer if you stayed at the hospital

with me.

Nick:(happy she says that) I wouldn't

leave you for the world. I think you

you would be safer driving to the

hospital in my car.
