Chapter One
I woke up in my dark bedroom and looked at my clock. It was brightly lit saying: 2:25 AM. I uncovered myself and put on my suit. I glanced over at my dresser that held all my weapons. Upon it was a picture of me and Galer. When times were happy and he treated me like his daughter. It was when I had first gotten accepted into the FAOG.
I exited my house and shook the thought out of my head. I looked around. The only lighting was the street lamp that was placed two houses down. I ran across the town. Buzzing. Buzzing everywhere. It was following me. I opened my tracker that was built in my suit. They were everywhere. Dradids. Dradids were the most feared creatures known to mankind. It was up to me to find out where they were. On my tracker, they were all coming from the warehouse. The warehouse where I had quit my first job. The warehouse where I had lost my ‘father’. The warehouse I had lost my one and only friend. The warehouse where I had lost… my parents.
I started running up the sidewalk. Faster, faster, until I was reaching my max speed. I skidded to a stop when I was outside of the warehouse. Big and tall, it stood high on its 40 year old foundation. I looked at it and all its terrible memories it had hidden in it. It mocked me. Glaring at me with its yellow eyes. I walked up to the door slowly. A tear ran down my cheek. Memories flooded out of me. In my head I saw my dad holding my little four year old hand and my mom kissing me goodnight. Like a normal family. Now I was a bounty hunter.
I walked to the long metal blue door and touched the handle. Visions of the past flew in my head. Galer, Dradids, Alex, my parents. I walked into the warehouse. I looked around and I saw nothing. I heard buzzing. Everywhere! My right, my left, my back, my front. It was like I was being surrounded by Dradids.
I started walking forward until I ran into a black wall. Or so I thought it was a wall. I looked up to see my old friend, Alex, looking down at me in his FAOG suit. He had a long smile on his face when he noticed it was me.
“Who is that there?” I recognized the voice of Galer. He walked towards Alex and looked at me straight in the eyes. His mouth dropped as if I had been dead for some time and just came back to life. “Rose, is that really you?”
“Yes Galer,” I said, grabbing Alex’s hands as he pulled me up. Alex and his strong build and his black hair that was down to his eyebrows. Wait a minute, I was a bounty hunter, I had absolutely no time for a relationship. I wiped my suit off as if there were dirt on it. “It’s me, just because I quit the FAOG doesn’t mean I died.” I didn’t want to be mean to him. I truly didn’t. I loved Galer, he just deserved it.
“Well, you never know these days. We could’ve killed you without knowing.”
‘How charming,’ I thought. He might have been trying to make me feel at home, but I felt as if I had just gone to hell. Running into my old society, whom I promised myself I’d never see again. It just felt wrong. “You obviously didn’t,” I replied snotty.
“Now, now there Rosy.” My pet name. The one I strictly told him not to call me. I was Rose. That was all I was ever going to be.
“It’s Rose,” my eyes slanted at him and I frowned. “What are you doing here? My tracking device sent me here.”
“Our GPS back at campus as well sent us here.”
“Doesn’t mean you follow me,” I mumbled. Thank goodness Galer didn’t hear me though. That would’ve earned a slap in the face.
Suddenly a loud humming noise came from all around us. It wasn’t the Dradids. Then, black. Pitch black was all around us. I couldn’t see anyone. I turned my flashlight on that was built in. Looking around I saw everyone’s face. Alex was scared, as were some of the other members. Then there was Galer. Emotionless. “Alright gang,” he paused, “and Rose. We need to get to the Dradids… in light. Rose you find the power box.”
I cut him off, “What makes you automatically think I am rejoining with you.” I actually had thoughts about rejoining the team. Maybe they’d treat me differently. Galer would have never let me but maybe he’s rethinking that too.
“You’ll do what I say, or die alone in here,” There it was. His cruelty to me and no other member. I had to do what he said because he was right, I would die alone in here.
“Fine,” I sprinted off into the back door as I heard Galer tell the other members instructions. I had the hard part. Find the electric box. The warehouse was literally six floors and like six hundred square feet. I had to look everywhere. I started walking and I walked towards the elevator. Modern day warehouse. I jumped up to the top of the elevator and started climbing. I was going to start from the top-down.
Once I reached the top I got on my knees and started charging my ray gun. It shot electric blue missiles and killed anything. I looked up from my gun. A blue and green shelled monster was standing in front of me. Its eyes were locked on mine and its sharp teeth were staring at me. I’ve seen these creatures before. They were Clypons.
They started towards me. There were at least twelve of them and they could kill me in an instant. Raising my fully charged ray gun, I pointed it to them. They didn’t at all seem like they were scared. I, on the other hand, was. Blasts of light were shot and my finger was unexpectedly pulling the trigger. When the lights shut off, I saw all the Clypons, dead. I kicked one of them to make sure they were dead. My feet hit the steel floor as I walked towards the elevator.

I finally got up the elevator and I looked in a broken shattered mirror. My face was young, as if I was five. I looked to the right out of the window and saw men dressed in black shooting a large creature. I didn’t know what to do. “Help me,” I heard. It was coming from my right. “Rose, help me!”
I ran over and saw my mother, her long blonde hair was dirty and so was her skin. She was under a fallen crate and she had cuts and blood stains all over her body.
“Where’s daddy,” I asked. I, then, realized I was having a flashback, a flashback of the time my parents were killed.
“Daddy’s not with us,” I heard her say. She was heartbroken inside and almost sounded dead to me.
“He’s,” I paused, afraid to say it, “dead?”
“Honey, I’m sorry, but Daddy is.” She held out her hand and opened her fist that showed a necklace in the shape of a moon. I'd seen her wear it everywhere. "Honey I want you to take this, just don't-" She was cut off by the sound of a gun. I ducked into a crate and looked over to where the noise came from. Two men in black suits were standing there with masks over their faces. They walked out as if nothing ever happened. I crawled out of the crate and looked over at my mother. Her head was lying back and her eyes were closed. I looked at her stomach and saw a stream of blood flow out of her.
“No, no, not you too, Mommy, Mommy!” I put my head on her chest, crying. Crying like I never had before. I grabbed the necklace and put it around my scrawny neck.

I lost both my parents last night, it was a tragedy just thinking about it. Whenever I rode the warehouse elevator, I never forgot about it. I remember just after that had happened Galer came into the room to see me crying. He took me in. I called him Dad ever since then.
I wiped my eyes, just thinking of the thought brought tears to me. I ran forward and looked at the electric box before my eyes.
