WILD RIDE (Lauren/Zara/You)

Chapter 3 : Attraction

 It was stupid really, how hearing Zara's voice for the first time made Y/N's body hum, like some cliché movie scene, but it did — and she liked it. She liked how easy going and laid back Zara seemed to be. She found out that Zara was going to be the opening act of the tour, and after hearing the girl rehearse for the first time, she felt more entranced than before.

But that only complicated things, because Y/N can't deny her feelings for Lauren. She can't deny that after spending a week with Zara, she developed feelings for her, too. Was it even possible to feel something this strong for two people at the same time? It had to be, because she knows all too well of her feelings for both girls. But with Zara, it's all simple. With Zara, there's no Lucy to compete with. There's no one to compete with, and Y/N likes that. That alone is enough for her to finally ask Zara out.

There was no way for her to ask Zara during rehearsals, but she was determined to do so afterward. All she had to do was wait a bit, be patient. But that was easier said than done. And Lauren talking about the latest thing she and Lucy had done together, didn't help. It only made Y/N that more anxious to ask Zara out. She wanted to forget Lauren, and have fun with the sweetest girl that had the softest blue eyes.

"H-hey, Zara," she stuttered when she approached Zara after rehearsals.

"Oh, hey, Y/N!" The blue-eyed girl replied cheerily. "What's up?"

Y/N was fidgeting with her fingers. Her pulse was rising, and her face grew incredibly hot. She didn't even understand why she was so nervous. Zara was too nice to turn her down in a rude way, so why was she freaking out so much?

"I was just... Well, I was wondering... I-if maybe you'd like to go out some time... With, y'know... M-me?"

Zara let out the cutest giggle that made Y/N's heart flutter. "I'd love to."

"I'm sorry I asked that was stupid of m—wait... You said yes?"

The blonde nodded, giggling again. "Of course I said yes," she replied. "It'd be stupid of me to say no."

Y/N smiled widely. "Awesome! Cool! Great! Okay, how's Saturday?"

"Perfect," Zara beamed. "I can't wait." 

"Well that makes two of us," Y/N mumbled when Zara was out of sight. This had turned out to be one of the best days yet. She had scored a date with Zara, and she was on her way to forgetting about Lauren.

When Saturday rolled around, Y/N could barely contain her excitement. It had been a few days since Zara agreed to going out, but Y/N still couldn't wrap her head around it all. Zara Larsson — the Zara Larsson agreed to go out with her. She could hardly believe it, but she wasn't complaining one bit.

Poor Y/N was so anxious about her date with Zara, that she didn't really plan anything out. Luckily the blue-eyed girl wasn't expecting much out of the date. She didn't mind what they did, just as long as she spent some time with Y/N, which is why she suggested a movie, to which Y/N agreed instantly.

The pair picked a random movie that both had never heard of, and decided it would be interesting to see. The only thing was, neither of them actually watched the movie. They both were far too busy sneaking glances at one another to really pay attention to what was happening, but neither of them brought it up. They hadn't even tried to talk about the movie, both embarrassed that they had no clue what was going on.

"Hey, do you want to get something to eat? On me?" Y/N asked. "N-not on me, on me... But like on me as in I'll pay for it."

Zara laughed, placing a hand on Y/N's upper arm to steady herself. "That sounds like fun."

Y/N beamed, confidently taking hold of Zara's hand as she led them both to the nearest burger joint. The two were laughing, talking and enjoying ones company. They ordered different burgers, and shared with one another, even feeding the other fries. They both had an amazing time, and for once, Y/N felt like she was over Lauren.

Or so she thought.
