They didn't kiss no, but it was a perfect date nevertheless for the both of them. The next day, they arrived hand in hand at rehearsal. Everyone congratulated them for their newly formed relationship except for Lauren who looked slightly irritated by their presence. Even if, Y/N and Zara tried to be discreet and not be one of those couples who overexposed their PDA they couldn't help but steal a kiss on the cheek from the other from time to time.
"Ugh, you are way too cute together ! You make me want to throw up." Dinah playfully acted disgusted.
"Seriously, you are my OTP guys." Matt gushed.
"Break is over guys. Let's go !" Sean interrupted them.
The tour was starting the next day. Even if everyone seemed to be excited and happy, deep inside they all had some apprehension about the biggest tour ever done by Fifth Harmony. The pressure was surely present especially since some of the dates didn't sale as well as others. The 5h girls are dedicating everything they have to this tour : the theme, the costumes, the production value...everything had to be on point. Y/N was of course nervous but also concerned. Since she arrived this morning, Lauren had be giving her the cold shoulder and she didn't know why. She didn't want to annoy her even more by asking her what was wrong with her. She approached the raven-haired girl nervously and waited the choreographer instructions.
"So,um- Ar- Are you ready for tomorrow ? It's the big day right !" Y/N chuckled nervously while scratching the back of her neck awkwardly.
Lauren coldly looked at the girl without saying a word. They started dancing without uttering a word. How could they perform perfectly if they didn't have any chemistry left. Y/N promised herself that she would talk to Lauren at the end of the day and understand what her problem was.
"Is it the bad time of the month for our dear Lolo ? I mean she looks like she's planning on killing someone." Kenneth asked while pointing at the girl who was typing angrily on her phone. Kenneth Parker is Ally's dancer, always hyped and excited about everything. He's the perfect partner for Ally Brooke Hernandez, the small ball of sunshine of Fifth Harmony.
"I don't know, yesterday she was perfectly fine. But - since this morning, she started to act weird. Actually - No ! Since you arrived, Y/N with Zara ! Omg ! I know what's wrong !" Chad exclaimed while giving the other dancers a knowing look. As if they spoke telepathically, they all looked at a confused Y/N with a sly smirk.
"Why are you looking at me like that ? You are scaring me guys." Y/N slightly backed away from the guys who seemed to want to corner the clueless girl.
"Well, Y/N you're not very smart, aren't you ?" Matt annoyed the girl.
"Matt, do you want me to punch you in the stomach ?" Y/N glared at him. She didn't understand why they were acting like they knew something that she didn't.
"Y/N, let's recap what happened this morning, shall we ? Everything was fine until you arrived with Zara. Do you know what it means ?" Antonio Ramirez tried to explain to the girl whose mind seemed suddenly to click.
Oh.
"Come on guys ! You aren't serious, right ! There is no way that Lauren is jealous." Y/N tried to whisper the last part while giving a quick glance behind her to see if nobody was eavesdropping.
"It's the only logical explanation to her sudden behavior dude. Actually, she's coming this way ! You should ask her yourself. Hey Lauren !" Before Y/N could protest, the girl was already coming her way and the guys were gone leaving Y/N alone in her despair.
"What's going on ?' Lauren crossed her arms looking irritated.
"Lauren, I wanted to asked you something but promise me not to get pissed."
"If you ask me not to get pissed it means that I will get pissed off by what you gonna say, Y/N" Lauren started glaring at Y/N who tried to find the courage to spill her question to the green-eyed girl.
"Um-okay... I just noticed that since I arrived this morning with Zara you've been quite distant with me and I just want to know if I did something wrong..." Y/N spoke softly and Lauren's face showed guilt immediately. Yes, she was jealous but she didn't want Y/N to feel bad or anything. She was just upset that she didn't have the gut to express Y/N her attraction towards her. Honestly, she thought that she had time to bond with Y/N and see if something more can result of their friendship. She's upset at herself for thinking that someone as gorgeous and amazing as Y/N could stay single for long.
"No Y/N. I'm not upset, I'm just having a bad day. I'm sorry that I made you feel bad, it's not your fault I promise." Relief washed over Y/N, she shouldn't have listen to the guys. It wasn't her fault but she felt bad anyway because she wanted her partner to be happy;
"That's ok ,shit happens. But you have to know that I'm always here for you if you want to talk." Y/N smiled affectionately to Lauren and it made the raven haired girl's heart flutters.
"Thank you Y/N, you are amazing." They hugged and Lauren's heart was beating so fast that she was scared that the taller girl notice.
"Hey Y/N are you ready ? We gonna be late for our dinner reservation !" Zara interrupted the heart felt moment to Lauren's despair.
"Are you gonna be okay Lauren ?" Y/N asked with a concerned face.
"Yeah, yeah don't worry about me ! Go enjoy yourself !" Lauren tried to keep her composure in front of the girl who made her heart melt. She smiled warmly at Zara who returned a smile with the same warm and watched the happy couple skipping hand in hand towards the exit. Maybe, her and Y/N wasn't meant to be...
She couldn't be more wrong.
