Stuck in between

chapter 8

the rest of the day my great friends made me forget about that asshole Brandon .my day was spend laughing and smiling but every time I would see one of them my smile disappears and they would ask me "what did i do" or "why are u looking at me like that" which made me more pissed. The rest of the week went on the same.

"Hey your going to tutoring " I say to my new best friend Kayla .

"no my brother has to but maybe" she say, but I end up begging her to come. mrs, Williams didn't agree and on the second day of tutoring she kicked her out.

" I can't go Ellie " she say clearly annoyed by the question. " why don't we just skip " Britney ( my friend I had since for 2 years now )says.

" Uhhh i don't know , if my dad catches me ill be in so much trouble" I say knowing my father well.

"oh come on stop being so scared , here ill set an alarm " . She pulls out her phones and does as she says.

As we head over to the park we see this guy that Kayla's in love with but his ... his known as a player.

"Hey Kayla ,give me a huge" he say "Kayla don't he has a girlfriend , leave him alone" Britney warns.

"calm down I not messing with him , and if I want to play with fire then let me get burned". she chimes , every time we skipped she would let him touch her and we didn't stop it .

But on December 9 that the day was different.this was my third time skipping , Anabell had warned me and told me not to do it again. she wasn't in school and i wasn't going to skip that day but they pressured me and i end up going, 'something bad was going to happen' I thought to.

I suggested turning back many times but no one would Listen to me so I go along with it . we had fun but when we weren't paying attention Kayla's dad shows up out of no where his was walking towards us, anger is in his eyes .

" Oh shit " I say with out thinking, before I can correct myself I was gone before he got close to us, I walked as fast I could. I hind in the bathroom, listening to her dad screaming at her and her brother and I watch as her dad slaps Chris in the face. Me , Britney and vivy ( a friend not close to us) decided to go back to school where Britney almost got caught by her mother. i was so glad i didnt.

when I get home I did my homework and go straight to my room . " Long day "I say to myself.Since Anabell missed that day of school I decided to text her and tell her about my day.
