I woke up and stretched while I felt and clutched my head that was banging like a drum. I could hear the sound of birds singing and the bright sunlight from the window practically blinded me.
My head was killing me. So were my hips and side. I fought it anyway and struggled to get out of bed.
Just then, I heard footsteps. A knock on the door shook me up.
"Good morning Heather dear... Get ready for your breakfast." Tamsin said smiling. I smiled back sleepily and yawned.
"Thanks Mom..." I yawned again.
I have a mom. But this is my Hearthian one. Pretty sweet right?
I left my bedroom and I was walking down the stairs to the dining room. I smiled at the polished mirrors hanging from the side of Tamsin and her brothers house. Tamsin wasn't Queen or anything but she was related to the king. I never mentioned that his name was King Arthur.
Kinda ironic and weird right? Like, Knights of the round table weird. Fennick was especially friendly and Audrey wasnt but they both were very secretive. Fennick was small and shy even shorter than me. Audrey is taller than me, a head taller.
Fennick suddenly ran by and was holding a red and blue notebook. Audrey was screaming and running after him. She suddenly sprouted a pair of peach feathered wings that fade into white. I shook my head. The other Audrey didn't have wings like that. Fennick also sprouted a pair of light yellow or pastel yellow that fades into Patel green.
When they reached the bottom of the staircase their wings went back into their bodies. I stred at my own. Can I even do that?...
I shrugged and flew all the way downstairs. All three of us were laughing and smiling. Suddenly, Tamisn came in and shook her head.
" What did I tell you two about flying in the house? And you never told Heather about the rule..." She sighed.
"Sorry Mom." I said.
"Sorry Auntie." Fennick said shyly.
"Eh. Just tell Fennick to give me back my notebook and I'll be fine." Audrey shrugged. She reminded me a lot of myself. "Come on, please bro?..."
But me and Hailey were never close and we barely called each other sis or liked talking to each other.
"Fine..." He muttered.
Tamsin nodded. "Come now, dessert before breakfast?..." She asked and chuckled.
They squealed and sprouted their wings again and flew into the dining room. Tamsin sighed and walked into the room.
I walked in. It was a lot like an outdoor garden or a large greenhouse than a dining room. It had losts of flowers in pastel colors which were mostly pink, the dome of glass above us reflected the bright sunlight, flutterflies were everywhere, and the table was regal and pink and white and groaning under the weight of foods and sweets. It seemed too girly to me, but it was good. The sweet scent of pie filled my nose. I missed it actually. Fennick and Audrey both had a pie each with whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top. I gulped. My mouth was closed but I could tell my mouth was watering.
"Why don't you eat with us?... It'll be a pleasure." Tamsin smiled. I nodded.
King Arthur, or my Hearthian uncle, Sat down and a flutterfly landed on his head.
Fennick was trying hard not to laugh and Audrey was sputtering. Tamsin giggled and I shrugged it off. I sat down and stared at the different forks and spoons set in a fancy order.
Oh great..! I don't do fancy geez!!! I grabbed a small fork at random and poked my pie a little. Then I shrugged and had a bite. Another thing I miss was the taste of blueberries.. Sweet juice oozing in my mouth. I smiled.
