Midnight. Sam was gone so I had to find a way to the chaos dimension on my own.

I pulled my armor out from the sack that Pepper gave me. I pulled on my backpack from old times. It was somewhat singed, a little dirty, but it was still in good condition.

I sighed and summoned my sword. It's golden glow reminding me of the only one I cared for.

"Sam..." I muttered into the darkness.

I pulled on a long cloak that covered all of my body as if I was shrouded in darkness. Like how I felt. I stuffed things in my bag then sighed as I had a quick glance at the jokebook. It meant so much and I brought the book that was given to me by Geist. Just in case.

I took out some war paint I got from Scipes once and painted the symbols we learned in Hearthian Arts class. The marks had a specific meaning. What did they mean?

Brave the path alone

I took a deep breath and pulled the hood over my head and hid my wings underneath the cloak and sighed.

I opened my door slowly. All lights were off.

If only he was here to teleport me out.

I sighed and thought about bringing oit my skateboard. I could grind the rails, but it might be way too noisy. I walked it. Since theses were the marble, cement, and gold hard floors, I'll be fine no creaky floorboards or anythin.

I made it. The door was closed. Dang. I don't have the keys even...  I remembered, the balcony upstairs... I took off the cloak for a while and flew upstairs over the stairwell my wings making faint beating sounds.

That was it, the balcony. I quickly flew over then stared at the railings. I pictured myself puking over the side...

And that?... That was in that lost island where we had to take back the mirror and I went stir-crazy with all the hallucinations.

I flew up into the night sky. I landed on a cloud. Now, it's Geist. I called up Lacier early and she said she'd get her dimension switching tool or something.

I nodded and flew all over the Hearthian Department sky. It was pretty big but their science lab wasn't far from Tamsin's house.

I saw it. The flashing or lights in the same signal I flew down and found both twins on the rooftop of their house. They invited me to come in. And heck, that was a big mistake.

The guys were already there. Pepper and Scopes were already there. And in their armor even.

"Guys, what are you doing here?" I asked them.

"What are you doing without us? And why did paint your face with the symbols meaning you work alone?!" Pepper practically shouted.

I rolled my eyes and pulled my cloak back on. "Whatever. It's none of your business."

"It is! I loved him too!!! We're even related!!!" Pepper said.

"It's mine as well. Me and Lacier have been his friends since childhood we can't leave a friend."

"And he was a brave and valiant warrior! And it's my responsibility as the Leader of The Hearthian Defense Force, to pursue and save lives. And this guy needs all the safety be can get!!!"

I sighed. They were really tugging at my heartstrings but I had to hold it. It took a deep breath. "Sorry. I just need this dimension switching item."

Lacier became a little ticked off. "You're not going without us!"

I cringed and gritted my teeth. "I'm starting to think where did it all go wrong?! Was it when I tried to visit the stupid dump?! Was it when I wore this amulet daily?! Was it when I entered the cave...?! Or was it when I met Sam..."
