Sam and the others still haven't returned and I woke up from my nightmares ages ago. Maybe a few hours. But time seems to be dragging on forever... Pointlessly and uselessly... Everything else is meaningless now... Absolutely pointless.
I can't walk, there's no one to really talk to, and all the adventure is happening in another dimension. Just great.
I sighed and summoned my sword again out of boredom.
The day would end soon but there were different time zones and very little time... I stared at Scipes who was moved into my room. She was sleeping on the camp-bed on one side of my room.
It was easier than keeping her downstairs. I could watch her and keep her company... But she's still too weak to do anything else.
I picked my phone up from my desk and sighed and shook it irritatedly. Nothing... It was all boring...
I looked at my book from Sarda and recited the ingredients again. "At least a drop of morning from the Sunnysuckle, millennium crystal shards, salt of the Dirmakian Sea, and lastly the phantom star of the fallen..."
I sighed. How do you even extract the salt from the water?... I don't even know... Let the twins figure that out...
Suddenly, I felt my chest tingling. I looked down and found the communication amulet Sam gave me back then, vibrate on my skin. I held it excitedly ready to answer a call.
There was no image, just a sound. It sounded like something was roaring in the distance and I heard rocks being tossed and turned. There came everyones gasps and the sound of water splashing. What on Hearth-
The call ended. I stared at the amulet dumbfounded. What was going on?...
I took a step on the ground then remembered my ankle. It sent an electric shock through my body and I felt loads upon truckloads of pain. I flapped my wings and slowly rose a few inches off the ground letting the pain drain out. After the stungeft I sighed and continued to flutter.
I flitted lightly and went beside Scipes who was muttering things to herself, eyes closed and her orange scales shiny and sweaty. Her hair was also sweaty and shiny and she was flinching. I didn't like seeing her like that.
I sighed and left the room opening and closing the door with my tetelekinesis and I flew up the winding staircase to get to the balcony, flapping my wings swiftly and giving a strong flap to slow down my full stop. It produced air currents that nearly blew away the furniture.
The air that blew past me made me feel like a puupet. Like the rush that swayed my body back and forth to keep me still were like the strings that kept puppets in place.
But I'm not a toy, a novelty, some useless shiny toy... I'm no longer controlled by that... Idiot who once tortured me for all's worth inside my pendant. But I was swaying lightly in the gust I created. Maybe not as a novelty, but as a leaf. Something that flies freely through the wind. With its landing usually a free flutter to the ground.
I sighed. I'm way too philosophical these days. Better watch that.
Tamsin was with Uncle A in the great library upstairs and the small staff of househelp were mostly cleaning things up at this time.
I quickly flew out into Lacier and Lacer's laboratory remembering that Geist and Heda were probably there. I went to their house instead and took my chances and knocked.
That's when I remembered. I'm still wearing this outfit Pepper made me wear. Taking... my... chances...
"Heather... What a surprise. What are you here for? The twins haven't made it back yet and my husband is doing research upstairs..." Heda said welcoming me in.
